Thanks, voted hot but since I voted cold to a mods offer my power has gone lol.
#2
If you do the one off payment £34 via debit/credit card is it a set 12 months without a rolling subscription?
#3
Bear in mind that the offer closes on 15th March, and Condemned 2 isn't released until 14th March! So you will be waiting a little while for your games I suspect...
banned#4
Would be very wary of this, they did a similar offer involving assassins creed which i beleive some people are still waiting for...

Cold from me
#5
They normally ask you to wait 28 days for delivery of free gifts too, so people could end up waiting until at least mid-April before they get their games. I always seem to have issues (pardon the pun) with these magazine free gifts - I once waited 6 months for some shaving products that came with a 3-for-£1 trial of Maxim!

Voting powers aren't removed for cold voting mod deals, they're removed for persistant and constant cold voting all deals without giving a reason.

I've voted hot - I'm in no hurry to play them and 2 full price games for £8 a quarter + quidco shouldn't be sneezed at - plus I'm willing to bet that if you cancel this after the first payment has left there will be little anyone will do about it...

Except potentially spoil future deals like this for other people. Why can't people just accept a deal as it is without having to try and cheat the system? It states that even if you only do the quarterly DD, you still have to do it 4 times.
There's always one, isn't there?

Be VERY wary of an FHM deal, i tried for Assassin's Creed, waited 6 weeks for them to tell me it was out of stock and pawned me off with some pathetic "free flights" voucher to Paris or Brussels, where flights cost about 1p anyway, oh and you had to use a specific chain of hotels for the "Free" flights to kick in.
#10
Agh Im very tempted but not sure about the old comments coming back. :?
#11
Voted hot.

I did the assassins deal when it was on, upto 28 days delivery from a supplier other than the mag company. Took about 4 weeks for mine to arrive.

If it did arrive later than 28 days, surely this would give you the opportunity to cancel the subscription and run with the game - if they don't keep to the Ts & Cs do you?
#12
sorry had to vote cold, it looks like a good deal...

but...... the question is Are you going to get this deal?

you have to wait 28 days to find out then be told wait 28 working days. then they send you a letter saying stock has run out. and send you a worthless voucher.

getting a refund a pain in the ar$e and their cust serv is a joke

sorry the assassins creed offer left a bitter taste in my mouth
#13
I did this deal with Assains Creed and so did one of my work mates and we both got the game and the mags. Voted Hot for me.
#14
I signed up and no game, voted cold.

I didn't say I was going to, I just said it was probable... besides don't you feel it's a little melodramatic to claim that it will spoil potential future deals? As far as I'm aware this type of subscription offer has been available since the dawn of time and despite a number of people taking advantage of the loophole it still exists...
#16
Well my point still stands regarding people having to try and cheat the system when it's not necessary.
#17
I ordered Last Time and got my Assassins Creed no problem.
Just ordered again as a gift for my Bro 12months of FHM aint bad. I will get the 2 games :D

Voted Hot another good find
#18
I had a real struggle to get my money back after they failed to supply asassins creed last time. I would avoid at all costs. cold from me I'm afraid.
#19
Remember 10% at quidco!
#20
I would avoid this at all cost. It ends up where you have to ring FHM loads of times to try and get a refund, as happened to be with the Assasins Creed game. I eventually got a £33 refund but after loads of hassle.
#22
fhm a magazine with 200 pages of adverts and a few pages of babes...mmmm think the offer sounds a bit hit or miss for me if you get the games or not.

good find but will stick to reading it while i am in whsmiths.. :)
#23
FHM was ok when you were a 15 year old boy
#24
It's ok when you get a good deal like this too... bit worrying about peoples feedback though!
#25
Just signed up.. worth a bash.. i don't mind abusing customer services if they screw it up lol
#26
I just signed up, worth a punt. Given up smoking recently so I think i earned a treat.
Heat added.
#27
Sounds good but I'm weary after all the negative comments.
I'd rather have 12 issues of a real porn mag than FHM tbh.
#28
i am anoth assains creed bad luck. they take 4 days to reply to emails and when you phone your told to write to cancell the subscription. i'm waiting to see how much they refunded me as i only recieved the only issue. wouldn't touch this company again.
#29
I dont have a computer. Will these games still work?
#30
Seems like a good deal but I am another one who signed up for the free Assasins Creed game last time and never received it. They sent a couple of useless free flight tickets but I didn't have any problems cancelling my subscription and getting a refund so it might be worth a try again.
#31
a copy?!? oooh..naughty
#32
They refuse to give me a refund after not receiving Assassin's Creed and the cleaner binned the flight tickets while I was away over Christmas so I can't send it back :(
#33
I never got the game either and the t & c's keep you tied in, I read that some did get the Assasins Creed game, but I would personally be very very sceptical.

the amount of stress this will cause you, you'll be back on the fags in no time.
#35
I also did not get my Assassins Creed and cancelled but if anyone is going for it and dont like fhm you should maybe do it as a gift sub. Mine was supposed to be gift for hubby and they had sent me a letter stating could change for another mag as was a gift. I had been going to change for Empire when got the game but it never arrived.
#36
Suppose you could always cancels the direct debit. Personally I wouldn't want to end up with some dodgy flight voucher when I would really like both of these games.

Mmmmm, should I sign up ?
#37
I swore never to be duped into "these magazine freebies" subscriptions again after the What Hi Fi headphone fiasco.

I urge everyone to do the same.
#38
I've signed up, just over £30 after quidco is a good price for a years sub to FHM as my Maxim one ends next month. The two games would be a good bonus though :D
#39
I am going to try again. As hubby would be buying Condemned 2 anyway. If no joy will just cancel d/d again. Would not pay up front with credit / debit card though.
#40
gone for it as i would have bought the games anyway.
