Inspired by '70s glam rock, Suede came up with just the shot in the arm that early-'90s English rock needed. They helped usher in the Britpop sound that gave birth to Blur, Oasis, Pulp, and countless others. Retaining those glam leanings, subsequent Suede records have fully explored the intersection of Gary Glitter and Mick Ronson with ever increasing power and drive, making them the natural heirs to the crown of David Bowie.

Mega hot! Two of the best albums of the nineties.
Hot, but I wish the description hadn't mentioned 'the intersection of Gary Glitter and Mick Ronson' - there's a mental image I didn't need. :o
Smashing band. Heat added
Usually I don't mind but it's bugging me that this one didn't make it to the front page
There must have been some really dodgy voting.
I bought this double pack for 3.99 when zavvi was closing down and thought that was a good deal! This is lightning its advantage, note that there is just an outside cardboard slipcase on these, the two regular albums are in their own usual retail jewel cases.
Suede seemed to pass me by in the 90's for some reason so i'll give them a go at this price :)

Dog Man Star is a fantastic album..theatrically epic in places, check out The Two Of Us on Youtube

And if you prefer something more guitar based We Are The Pigs from the same album is awesome

Always hated the "Britpop" tag they were much more than that.
Great deal.

Great band.

Dog Man Star remains one of my favourite albums
great hot deal
i went to see suede when dog man star was released great band
Their debut album is one of the most underrated albums of the 90s. It was huge when it was first out, but then got overtaken in the press stakes by the likes of Oasis, Blur and Pulp. Barely gets talked about now, but it's absolutely fantastic.

Dog Man Star isn't as good, for me. Tracks like Heroine and The Two Of Us are as good as anything they've ever done, but I was genuinely disappointed after I'd played their debut album to death. A few tracks are pretty forgettable. Still very good, don't get me wrong, but pales in the shade of Suede.

At £2.99 each these would be a steal, but together it's a sensational deal.
top deal, gone for this. thanks!
