Topcashback/Quidco available if using HMV.

Suede, the band that radically shifted the axis of British pop music in the 1990's, release their definitive Best Of album on November 1. The 2 CD compilation features all of Suede's biggest hits, remastered by Chris Potter – showcasing the group's early material with outstanding new production. This is the only Suede hits compilation that has been endorsed by the band.

Suede were famously proclaimed as 'The Best New Band In Britain' on the cover of Melody Maker soon after they released their debut CD, 'The Drowners', in 1992. The claim was cemented after their debut self-titled album was awarded the Mercury Music Prize. During that time the group effectively instigated a new focus on British guitar music which had been largely eclipsed by grunge before their emergence. Their inexorable rise saw them become one of the biggest groups in the country, a success which was replicated in many countries around the world. In 1999, after five studio albums, the group split. They returned triumphantly in March this year, playing three incredible and critically acclaimed shows including London's Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. The shows were hailed as a career high:

ive heard that the sound quality on this is dire
#2
That many tracks on each disc, is it going to be a load of radio edits?
#3
There was no need for this, all you need is the "Singles" compilation.

Alright for a fiver though if you're a collector.
#4
I don't even like Suede, but Killing of a Flashboy is an amazing track. That's not on Singles.
#5

Phenomenal, up to the point Bernard Butler left. After that, they were awful.

Suede were the soundtrack to my late teens, and this is a very good collection as there were so many great tracks that weren't singles. Living Dead, Next Life, Killing of a Flashboy, etc..

Everything they did from 92-94 with Bernard Butler was brilliant, the singles, album tracks and b-sides, after he left the b-sides went downhill. Suede recruited 2 new members & in '96 released Coming Up, a great album which yielded 5 top 10 singles. 98's Head Music was largely pants whilst 2002's A New Morning was massively underrated.
