This adjustable infant wrap allows your baby to sleep safe and sound, and helps reduce symptoms of colic, by recreating the warmth and security of the womb. New research suggests that swaddling promotes longer periods of sleep due to decreasing 'moro' reflex which often disturbs baby's sleep

16 years ago when i had my first son i was shown how to 'swaddle' him to imitate warmth and security of the womb.

5 years ago i had my daughter and was told that 'swaddling' was frowned on now as it overheats. Still i ignored them, experience had taught me something. I see research has since proven that what we knew years ago - that swaddling does indeed work .

shows £12.85 for me, how do we get it for the offer price?

This is a good price but these dont last long (in my experience with a different brand) especially if you have a big baby so after my first I just used a large cotton baby blanket/sheet. In hospital they used towels or cotton blankets and encouraged me to swaddle with all 3 of mine in the last 4 years. My last midwife also suggested that if you are not confident enough to swaddle at first see if you can find baby grows with pockets in and just tuck their hands in - stops them hitting themselves and waking up. Didnt try this myself but seemed like a helpful tip.

If you go to the right hand side of the amazon page and scroll down a bit it still shows as £6.50, saying dispatched in 3-5 weeks

Will show these to the wife when she gets in from work. Looks a good deal tho for our baby due Sept. Thanks OP.

We swaddled both ours but just used normal blankets. For other fathers (and mothers) out there who struggle with it and find that after wrapping them up you pick them up and the blanket falls off I have this advice from Jason Manford - it's just like wrapping up a fajita!

Heat and rep added! We had our first baby on Monday and she loves being swaddled!

The monkeys were the extra draw factor :)

I've got an 11 month old who used a 'miracle blanket', which was bought in America by a friend (but looks along the same lines as this. Can't speak highly enough of them from birth to about 3 months my son used to recognise the routine as soon as he was swaddled and relax and sleep right through the night. As soon as he outgrew it and went to a grow bag he was waking up 3 times a night. Evey new parent should know about these - I swear they've stood the test of time (used for 100s if not thousands of years in some form or another) and really do work. Just wish they did a size for my 8 year old daughter - complete with gag.
