So I was thinking about getting myself an early Christmas present, what do you guys think of this player? Too good to be true? Maybe, i've never heard of Sumvision before.
Apparently entering "base" at checkout gives free delivery.

Anyone got any better ideas?

Edit: Oops wrong link fixed

http://www.datakits.co.uk/store/sumvision-ice1000-10gb-touch-screen-28-black-mp4-player-p-5000.html

Theres some reviews here, judge for yourself

Your link goes to Play.com for some reason?

I'd also suggest you may be better off getting the 8GB for £5 less - the reason being that they are identical (both 8GB), but the 10GB comes with a 2GB mSD card..........if it can handle it, then a larger mSD card would probably be preferable for most.

Sorry guys i've edited the link, and yeah the 8GB would be better, I thought it was 2gb internal and with a 8gb SD but it's the other way round!

I cant see anything with information re. whether or not this would take bigger cards. If 2gb is the max, then the extra £5 is about the going rate for these cards, so the deals are about as good as each other. Even if you do upgrade, the 2GB card would be good for a mobile phone or something.

There's some more reviews on amazon, seems that for the most part, customers are fairly happy with these players: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0015A16XE/ref=olp_product_details/276-1013851-8500622?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

The main negatives seems to be the video playback, which I'll never use anyway

For god sake don't shop at datakits, there are loads of posts on-line you can search through google where people have been waiting 6 months for stuff. All I did was register my details with the site. The very next day I got a phone call from a guy in Wales who asked me if I had registered on the datakits website. I was very confused, I asked him how he got my number? He told me that all my details were available through the site. Not only did he know my home telephone number, he knew my name and also my home address, I'm just glad I didn't put in any of my credit card details and make the purchase. Anyway he warned me off as he had been waiting....wait for it... 8 months for his stuff to arrive and was currently claiming his money back through his credit card company! Just google datakits.co.uk and have a look at their awful service! They are also well known for selling counterfeit items i.e copies from hong kong. The company has been warned on several occasions and has even been in court so please everyone avoid this company at all costs!!!!

I will be posting this as a main thread to warn other people.

Read it and weep before you order from this shower. Looks like they are dissolved and shouldn't be trading at all.

Yeah I read that as well. They were recently operating on ebay under the name
"mobilecables0132" also but ebay has booted them off so they are no longer registered users.

Looks like Amazon has pulled the plug too as there are none available on their site.
