Be wary of these, there are a few negative reviews but a lot of gushing positive ones, i have reviewed them as well as the other 2 guys who have them and none of the reviews make it on to the sites. bought 3, 6 months ago and we have never got a drive to work inside it, tried 8 personally, 3 died in the process, all done to the instructions which is a little strange with terms like, if it twinkles or if there be mozaic and no support anywhere on the web, SD cards work well in them so if you want a £30 card reader all well and good, buyer beware, most postings i've sen regarding HDD media players advise buy one with a HD already in it

If it connected to my wireless network I'd be interested.

I ordered this on Tuesday and recieved today. No problems so far apart from the rubbish instructions. I've played MP3, divx, xvid and viewed jpgs. Setup was quick and easy and probably took about 10 minutes from opening the box.

I presume you got a HD to put in it then?

Yes, FAT32 formatted I would assume as these enclosures don't normally support NTFS

Yes, had an old 80gb seagate barracuda from my old pc.:-D I had intended to buy an enclosure to use it as an external drive but this seemed like a good alternative

Just seen these in my local Maplins for £40- so will this take one of my old 250gb IDE drives, or will I have to change that too?

Your 250G IDE drive should work just fine in it. I think 500G is the ceiling for support.
