I'm 99% certain that there is no OS X driver or software for this. If you can obtain Elgato's excellent EyeTV software then any of the compatible peripherals listed here:

http://www.elgato.com/elgato/int/mainmenu/products/software/EyeTV-3/product3.en.html

will work. Several of these are just rebadged versions of each other anyway (Hauppauge & Elgato for instance) so you may well find a decent deal but it's the software that really matters and unless you can get that cheaply you may as well just spring for a device that has it bundled.

you will need to plug your external digital ariel into this as the litlle thing provided is pretty feeble.
#9
Does this use a normal aerial socket, as I already have a digital aerial with a normal size aerial plug, so just want to know if it fits this.

Thanks

This item is useless unless you have a very good external aerial to plug into.

you can use the normal coaxial cable.

sorry, you will find the cable & connectors at B&Q

i have this setup and it works perfectly...obviously you would have to watch upstairs what's on sky down, although my wife can still watch the freeview channels downstairs .

Have you considered a video sender? way more expensive than buying coax cable but they are quite good and have multiple inputs etc so you can watch different things on different TVs? They cost upwards of 20 quid

I would be interested to know how you achieve this with a digital TV tuner as Sky boxes only output an analogue TV signal.

Yes, they confirmed by e-mail that it is Vista compatible so for that price I've got one.

Like most of these tuners, it'll probably be sh!te without an external aerial unless you are sitting on top of the transmitter tower. Google around for different software and perhaps try (at your own risk!) other manufacturers drivers which may also help performance. (see Ffooky's post 8 above).
