I said it was a good deal so i'm not being nasty. I also didn't have a rant. Some people on here just want to have a bitch.

What I was on about OP was that all you initial ad said was something like the title being "DIV X DVD Player" and the content was "Just got free delivery on mine !!!!"

So I pointed out that you should read the helpful instructions on how to correctly post deals, that was all.

And I now see the title has been changed to show the make, model and seller. Also description now in post.

So now it's a good deal, AND a good post

Sorry i thought it was a pedantic reply the deal was there for you to do a little work yourself, too many 'snobs' on here

I have one of these bought from Advanced MP3, and very good it is. Just one quibble: it will not play some R2 DVDs that run perfectly well on other players (really annoyed because they are Seinfeld and 24!). I queried this with supplier who said it was something to do with the 'authoring' of the DVD. Too technical for me, all I know is that they won't play.

Welcome to the board.

I have one of these but they are abit bad, people buy a nice tv and then go and stick on of these on them, they are ok I guess for the kids.

how many players have support for MKV not many if you want those abilities you need a popcorn hour or an AC Ryan streamer which are more than £20.

This is fine for most but if you download lots of movies then get a streamer.

Mine has problems playing DVDs. Many times - but not always - it freezes around half way through a disc. It always freezes at the start of a chapter and won't play anything after it, but I can rewind and play previous chapters.

To fix it it requires some random combination of re-inserting the DVD, stopping and playing a few times, jumping around the chapters, etc. This happens with brand new and used discs.

Strangely it doesn't ever freeze early in the movie but typically only after an hour or so. I returned the player and got a new one but found it to have the same issue!

Anyone else had similar problems?

There's a fair few comments on the ebuyer reviews with playback problems. Unfortunately, Sumvision products rarely live up to expectations; their media players should be so good, but poor software/firmware makes them painful to use!

is this better or worse than my apple tv?

edit - never mind, my tv does the same thing without taking space on my media stand.

How Rude...What a Great Welcome!

I ordered one of these about 3 weeks ago for the same price.
Selected the free delivery option, and still got it the next day.
Excellent value for money, and the upscaled 1080p is pretty good.
USB and SD slots are a useful bonus for playing AVI files etc, or for turning your TV into a massive photo frame.
Can't complain for the price.

bought this about a year ago... only use it as a back up, but no issues with it, great price...

Much like the 1080p media player posted mid week but without the DVD.

Pick the media player if you have DVD player and save £10 :)

does anyone know if this player has a "resume" function?
banned#24
does anyone know if you can use a USB Hard Drive to connect into the USB slot to play files off a hard drive instead of a USB memory stick? or if not, what is the maximum capacity it can play off a USB memory stick (8gb, 16gb, 32gb)? help grateful, thanks. :)
