yup same here, im going to wait a little while longer though

Nexus has quad core. Other than that I think the specs are great and a similar tablet you won't get below £250. Xoom was about £200 a couple of weeks ago frm HMV, but that didn't go well for many here as HMV backed off frm the deal.

Thanks for info. Very helpful.

Search for Cube U30GT if you want to see very similar spec that's already available.

It has also been announced on Sumvision's website today: http://www.sumvision.com.cn/

But no further information. I am interested in this tablet depending on build quality.

That's the thing with Sumvision, isn't it. Some of their stuff's not bad, but some is just terrible.

Be better to wait for a full review of somewhere like Slatdriod before risking 170 quid on something that might not last the year out!

Do you think the price could go up between now and release?

Knowing Ebuyer anythings possible.

Even so, I'm going to be holding off until I see a few reviews. Its a good price for a dual core 9.7" tab, but there are a stack more (just look on Amazon) and the prices are all falling now.

Ok thanks for the advice. I'll decide next week then if to cancel my pre-order. Trying to decide if to switch from my iPad. I'm fed up with iOS.

Made the decision. Canceled the order and gone for the cube on Amazon. A bit more but higher Res, bigger screen and metal case. More than Nexus but 7" just too small and I like swappable memory cards. Good luck anyone who has gone for this one. I also see that they have moved the delivery date...

thinking of one of these for me firstly and if not good enough the wife secondly

just had a dig around and the cube is not a good tab. you will have to flash it to get the market to recognise it properly and the QC on soldering is not good at all. i was going to buy one, but im not sure now.

Interesting...

I have set up my Cube, no issues with the Market - worked first time. Everything seems stable. Build quality seems very high so far. Perhaps some of the negative comments have been from users who cannot get everything from their phone working on the tablet? The Market app correctly recognised that I had the tablet and there were only a couple of apps that it would not allow and these were ones that I was execting not to work without a SIM card.
Let me know if there are any Apps you would like me to try and run on the Cube before you commit....

some reported: colour bleed near the edge. 1 dead pixel. sd card corruption (need this checking please, they were using NTFS). buttons unresponsive. headphone socket tight. having to press the settings area of the screen (clock) several times, maybe an unresponsive area.

Ok, very slight colour bleed on top edge nearest camera. I've seen a lot worse. No dead pixels. Headphone socket is a little tight but I would prefer this to a loose one. No unresponsive buttons or areas at all. I have ordered a new Sandisk 32G card from Amazon so haven't tried card slot yet. I haven't built up enough courage to try the one that is in my S2!

Now tried 32G Class4 card (you've got me worried!)
Photos read OK. AVI movies load and play OK. The card I have ordered is class10 so should be better if anything.

None whatsoever. I've been swapping sd cards over, reading & writing many times and they haven't failed once. One card is 32G class4 FAT the other is 32G class10 NTFS. I will stick with the class10 one and definitely stay with NTFS following the comments. Perhaps this has all been sorted out? Anyway, all great so far :)

where did you buy your cube from??
#33
plumped for the n101 in the end
#35
The new version of the cube is much improved - the problems reported tend to be the old version
#36
Aspect ratio 4:3???

Shame there's no GPS, it has it all apart from that.
#37
Been waiting for a dual core Tegra 2 tablet for around 180 (like the asus transformer).... might be tempted with the cube as it has a higher res, although the single review isn't great....
