I'm going to be honest but will probably get abuse for this... I'm somewhat of a snob when it comes to the type of person that I choose to be around. It's nothing to do with how much money someone has or doesn't have, it's more to do with the mentality of the people. On a £15 Sun holiday would you be surrounded by chavs and the unwashed?I can't see myself going on one but this is probably the reason why I wouldn't, I just have the perception that it would be a nightmare. I'm not sure where I have got this idea from so I'd appreciate it if someone could either confirm my assumption or set me right.

I think it can depend on where you go. Kids are a bit big now for the single beds the caravans have, but we had many fabulous weeks away using the Sun holidays when they were smaller. We've always been impressed by the cleanliness of the vans, more so than some hotels we've stayed in. The vast majority of people, regardless of their economic status, were doing just what we were ie looking for a cheap few days away to spend playing with the kids. Yes there were the T-shirt off, tattoo bearing brigade who poured on more fake tan than sun cream, but who cares? They were with their families, I was with mine. We tended to go off camp most days to explore the area, but using the pool was just like any public swimming pool, but usually with better facilities and cleaner changing rooms. Young kids, rich or poor, tend to like the children's laid on entertainment and the on-site chippies are some of the best in the land.
Try it once, if just for a weekend. You might be converted.

I recently stayed at Primrose Valley, a very well maintained Haven park which has fantastic facilities.

I paid £98 in total for 4 nights, entertainment passes, bedding, utilities etc...

This is fantastic value.

Yes, it's from the sun, but as Cainer1 pointed out, you don't actually have to buy the paper, just use HotDeals when the tokens are released. It offers a cheap way to have a fun holiday with your family.

I wonder how many Liverpudlians are wavering on their Sun boycott at the thought of a £15 holiday? X)

I'm sure that people from all over would consider this deal regardless of their feelings for the Sun, holidays are stupidly expensive.

As for the Sky Sports comment, a lot of Liverpudlians like football. Sky Sports remains the only legal way for a lot of people to watch a lot of matches. Are you suggesting Liverpudlians should steal that content?

If it puts your mind at rest I always try and book a midweek break at Butlins with the Sun and I wash regularly (_;), the holiday certainly costs more than £15 though. As well as the £15 per person Butlins have a power charge £52, linen £17, entertainment passes £68 and I've paid £72 for the Skybar, going in a few weeks for half term.

are you new to this?
its the priority reference code that allows early booking, NOT the bonus token posted in the OP
its standard procedure to post the bonus token on all websites that post the codes, always has been...

Doesn't matter if they are Sun Holidays or Mail, local paper or whatever, they are cheap accommodation for young families in term time (that's why they are cheap ) . We go to these parks as a couple two or three times a year and generally the parks are quiet after about 9pm (when the kids entertainment finishes) , my general impression is lots of young kids having fun .

We do not book via these offers - after adding on service fees , linen and entertainment passes etc we often get a better deal (just for two) by the park company's own offers and of course you have much more choice of location , accommodation type etc .

Never had a bad one and we get out on the cycles and have certainly not had any bad experiences as you suggest .

Bear in mind , most of these parks are a bit isolated (a mile or two from the nearest Pub/restaurant ) so you can be a bit at the mercy of their prices in the bars /restaurants (London prices on Norfolk /Lincolnshire parks ) if you have no transport .

All have regular bus services to the local towns , so good as a base for days out etc . You should try it , it will change your view , but for just a couple book through the firms offers .

A caravan is great for a couple or a couple + one or two young kids , but I can imagine it being a nightmare having 8 folks in one especially if the weather wasn't too good . You should try it , you will be pleasantly surprised :)

don't worry about other people wherever you choose to go, then and only then you will have fun, instead of worrying about other people who are only having fun themselves, I have been on holidays costing 8 grand and I have also been on sun holidays costing £150 for 4 days in a caravan and enjoyed both and yes you do get a few idiots but on both holidays not just the cheap sun one, that's just life

The person who mentioned the Liverpudlians boycott of the sun newspaper is trying to say that even though Liverpudlians said they would boycott the Sun newspaper forever because of the lies they printed after the deaths of 96 fans at Hillsborough, they would go out and buy the paper to get the £15 holiday, please realise that Liverpudlians never give up as they never gave up trying to get justice for those 96 poor souls.

i went to Devon a couple of weeks ago on a mon-fri break, stayed at Haven Devon Cliffs,
i was a bit shocked when i got there as there was a ~100 yard queue to book in which took an hour,
for anyone who knows the park the queue was from reception, right the way through the Arcade to Burger King :o
it was in term time as well so god knows how long that queue would be in the school summer hols lol.
i had a good week though and got a free caravan upgrade, total cost was around £80 :)

I don't understand why certain users don't understand why many in Liverpool would want to avoid this evil rag.

In fact a lot of their untruths have targeted a whole lot more people & groups not just Liverpudlians.

And no cheap holiday or day out will tempt them.

You hugely underestimate the hatred for this nasty, racist, homophobic, vindictive rag in the 'Pool area.
You seem keen to apply stereotypes, perhaps you should look to challenge them instead?

theres an irony here,
by posting this thread with the codes it means that people dont have to buy The Sun,
so surely the haters should be voting hot? :D

Liverpudlians stealing? Give over. A common reason given for not buying The Sun is that it puts money into the pockets of the owners. Who also just happen to own SKY.

Its funny I was under the same illusion as most on here... until I actually booked and went on one of these holidays last year (did pay for upgrades and certainly didnt come to £15 pppn) but alas it was a great little holiday.. the little fella abso loved every minute and have been back again already this year and now happy to see this as I will book a 2nd for this year! if you get good accomodation then its fab for the kids and if the kids are happy... im happy! Dont knock until youv tried!!

totally agree with you. pay cheap, get cheap, get put near loud chavs that have no respect for anyone or anything around them.

you just need to do your homework, for example we just went to Tattershall Lakes on a Sun holiday and were surrounded by people with money (not that much better behaved in what we observed)

it all comes down to what the policy of the park is, Haven, Pontins etc will give multiple caravans to the Sun to fill up their park, inc using owners caravans who have agreed to let the park do their rentals. a paying customer is better than a empty caravan, but other parks, like the one we went have multiple empty caravans as they only released a tiny amount...

But I have been on both Haven, Pontins and posher parks, and the kids behaviour is no better, in fact the kids with money are just more entitled

And a noble reason that is. The people of Liverpool choose to go elsewhere for their news. Unfortunately, there is no legal alternative to Sky for many televised football matches.

Roger Irrelevant's comment was tantamount to saying 'Don't like The Sun? Well either don't watch football or illegally stream then, you hypocrites'

I would say if you think everyone that goes on holiday to a haven/parkdean etc site in the Uk is some kind of dosser/chav your very much mistaken, lots of hard working families book them not using newspaper promotions, just some people are are lucky enough to be more savvy and get them cheaper via deals. Only a very small percentage of people you will be on holiday with will have booked the cheaper way. I myself have not been in the club houses etc,but then I don't have children and I just use the places as bases to explore the areas. Only bad place I went was Isle of wight and that wasn't so much the came as the island its self, couldnt get off it quick enough could not see why the place is so loved.
I book via this way to go away in Europe as they use eurocamps and so it works out so much cheaper, and means I get to go away a few times a year.
I say I give it a try what have you got to lose?

Butlins is such a con

14 JUL 2017 - 3 NIGHTS AT £17.50 PER PERSON SELF CATERED
Accommodation: 1 Comfort unit
Peak Date Supplement (included in price) - £2.50 per person per break
Park Extras: Service Charge (obligatory) - £14.00 per unit per night
Park Extras: Clubroom Passes (optional) - £25.00 per person per break

so £220 through the Sun, still cheaper than direct, but nowhere near their £15pp price
#36
OMG I just booked Brean sands but having second thoughts now as reviews seem hit and miss!
#37
there is nothin extra that what was left over off last round! total waste of time really they could at least of added more availability

ouch at the clubroom pass prices, how many of you are going?

i never bother with entertainment passes as i just book a caravan to get away for 3-4 days fishing,
as im self employed with no kids i can pick n choose when i go, so most of the breaks i book are the 'no added extra' dates,
snagged 3 mon-fri breaks for this year, 2 at £40.30 each and one at £62.30, all in inc £2.30 booking fee

Anyone booked a holiday for 22nd May today?

The earliest I got was 26th May.

The availability updates page shows that 22nd should be availability. This has been on a few now. Not showing during this time.

Wondering if I have missed the boat.
