The website states it's brewed by Shepherd Neame and the brand-name belongs to San Miguel. What does your experience tell you to expect from a beer originating overseas but actually brewed in the UK? It's quite acceptable but uninspiring - Shepherd Neame produce far more interesting and satisfying ales.

I don't recollect ever seeing the brand in China - but, in the Beijing area, I'd already found Tsingtao (Ching Dao) was better than any other (brewery founded by Germans) but have never been to the Cantonese-speaking area (where it's implied that this stuff originates).

£2 per ltr for a premium larger not such a good price but not so bad. Like to get mine -£1.60 per ltr when I can.

Duvel is the Belgian beer that you really must try. Not cheap and rarely on offer but very special.

I was trying to give blowbrown another opinion of the beer and also correcting your statement that San Miguel brew it. Didn't mean to seem to be "cutting you off in your prime" as I applaud you for posting the deal 'cos it'll be attractive to some and is currently at a reduced retail price (so definitely qualifies as a deal) - though I reckon leedale30 has a valid point about price points in general for "premium" lager beers (£2pL for bottled premium ales is my benchmark).

Nice to see my club's sponsors selling there beer to a wider market.

They sponsor my Dragon Boat Club Raging Dragons based in London. Here's the advert from Sun Lik.

If any one's interested in this team water sports, just click on to the website. We do have open days for people to try out.

Very nice beer, much better than the lagers on offer for 2 for £14 at morrisons at the moment anyway.
