I have never been on one - but I read what was said about the previous one and they seemed a good laugh for the money.

So if you are not on the mailing list then you need to collect the vouchers I presume?

How much does a break cost if only 2 people are going?

Thanks

Steve

If You Go Self Catering You Have To Pay For A Minumum Of 4 People.

Yep, not sure if its 6 or 7 tokens you have to collect. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/travel/article1364803.ece for more details.

£38 (or £46.50 with insurance - insurance is highly recommended by the sun!)

Beware IF you book a Butlins Break you can often get it cheaper on the butlins website if you book nearer the time .This rule does not apply with all dates just be aware .

if anyone has a priority booking form they no longer need, it would be greatly appreciated. I have never booked before. We wish to take our 7 year old on a holiday this year. It will be his first real holiday. only ever been away fro day trips. Any recommendations on where to go would be a big help too. Thanx Sapphire

Primrose Valley at Filey N.Yorkshire is great, as is Caistor 0n sea nr Yarmouth.
Loads for young kids to do. Been to both parks twice, never ventured from N.Yorkshire or Norfolk. Thorpe Park near me at Cleethorpes is also good. You have Pleasure Island theme park, within walking distance, and the beach is just ouside the park, as it is with Caistor-on-Sea and Primrose.

Can some 1 confirm that -

Sat code = nice
Sun Code = isle

thanx..........

hi i went to blue dolphin, north yorkshire in late oct. it was a haven site and paid £9.50 per person, plus passes plus linen. as it was quiet they upgraded us foc to a brand new caravan which was so lovely. the site itself was empty and nothing much was open so we ventured out to scarborough and whitley which was lovely, but very very cold. nice for a cheap getaway and fab if you can get half-term.

we are going away in august with haven to golden sands and paid £431 for 7 nights. it is only 2 bedrooms and the cheapest one going, but you ring up haven and quote ZCANDIS code from the candis magazine and i received £110 off.

Where do i get a booking form from, are they in the paper? or do you do it online? sorry if its already been posted, i must have missed it

Thanks in advance
:-D

I think the booking forms are in Wednesdays paper. There is a priority form but seems to be sent to those who have been previously.

Its our first time of saving them this time and yesterdays (saturdays) said there was a bonus code in todays NOTW - Do i have to get it? or is incase i miss any others?

We've been to caister on sea site and haggerston and can recommend them both but out of them both caister wins hands down. I found haggerston a little boring because all of the entertainment, bars and pool were in one building and I liked to wander about a bit and feel like you were changing scenery a bit if that makes sense.

Hi , if it is any use the Haven camp at Devon Cliffs number 52 on the list is superb for families , very big and lots to do on the camp and in the area , we live quite near and go as a cheep get away . It's also got a beach thats not private but may as well be as the main steps to it are through the camp. p.s. this is at Exmouth in Devon about 20 mins from Exeter off M5.

You dont need sundays notw token as long as you collect the right number of tokens. Sometimes The Sun print the order form online, they did for the Summerish lol one. Ive been going now for over 10 years and love it everytime.

Im going to Blackpool hopefully in October if i get booked in when kids off school. So if anyone else is going to that one let me no and we could have a Hotukdeal Party in Blackpool
#24
I have been to Haggerston Castle and to Craig Tara (both Haven), they weren't with the sun deals so I can't comment on the type of accommodation you will get etc, but the camps themselves were great and the kids had a fantastic time. Haggerston Castle in particular is in a fantastic location, there is tons to do round there, anyone that goes absolutely has to visit Alnwick Castle (where Harry Potter was filmed) and the Alnick Gardens.

Thanks labdab for your reply

These holdiays are great for a cheap getaway. We've been on quite a few in the last few years and no complaints yet. Parks visited

Primrose Valley.
Berwick
Thorpe Park

Going to try Haggerston Castle this time around.

Dont go to the haven near hasting its right on a landfill site and waking up to that every morning wasn't nice and im sure if ur caravan was futher down the steep hill you probably could smell it also, and u get attacted by sea guls if you carry food to your caravan and they wake u up in the morning by walking over the roof.
#27
any idea what todays code is
#28
Code words so far
1/ nice
2/ isle
3/ damp

You have to buy the paper to get the form for booking if you havent had the letter inviting you to book again ( either online, or by post, your choice)

You need to give 4 choices of available dates and 4 choices of holiday sites ( so that you can have a better chance of getting one)

I think, if I remember, when you book online you HAVE to put these choices in, otherwise it wont accept. I knew I only wanted ONE, but had to put three others and risk it ( I got it)

Been to lots of these holiday breaks, and as theres only two of us, with no kids, we really just need a place to stay, to use as a base for being out and about elsewhere, as, the sites can be, well, sometimes, expensive, noisy, and not what some may be looking for. It seems popular for familes with kids, but as I say, they have you over a barrel with their prices- in the bar and in the shops on site.

Take your own basic things foodwise, or go to local Supermarkets. Mostly the accomodation has been very good, you CAN upgrade at most, but we never bother, as their basic vans are ok just as a base and its only for a while.

These sites are obviously in it for the extra money us holidaymakers can give them, and, ok, if you want to spend and dont mind, then go as you are, and spend extra on whatever they have to offer..

But they can, with planning, be a really, really good deal, and we would rather spend the extra on a b&b before, and after the hol, to stretch it out

And another bit of info. All the parks we have been to are usually quite a way from the centre of the place they are advertised to be at. so you need transport, ( or they have bus services- expense again ! )

just come back from Skegness Butlins kids had a great time eventhough it rained there was plenty to do. it was a sun holiday basic but clean apartment overlooking duck pond. also been to butlins minehead and loved that. Haven Primrose valley is also a good one. Wouldn't touch pontins though went to the southport one. Southport a lovely place but pontins was horrid would have to be paid to go again
#36
Disagree about southport we went last august and althought the place does look a bit like a prison camp we had upgraded to the top accomodation and had a great time loads for the kids to do and a good base to go of and explore the surrounding area.
