Absolute rubbish and totally clueless put this in most diesels after 2000 and you will ruin the pump costing many hundreds of pounds.Don't put this in any diesel engine unless you know for certain it will run ok on its just not worth it.Even mixing with diesel won't help.

50/50 diesel/cooking oil and a shot of engine oil in the tank and most diesel engines will run ok as the ecu will compensate for the lower burning temp, you get less miles per ltr though so its only slightly better than buying derv, and you have to change the filter more often, and at fifty quid apop for most vehicles i wouldn't bother, plus you would stink like and old fish n chip shop lol !

100% in my old diesel, no need to dilute - unless it gets cold!

Read what i said moron i said most diesels after 2000,I didn't say all but put it in a car that that won't and you have hundreds of pounds of damage for listening to idiots who are clueless,Oh and for your information your m8s astra is before 2000 if its not get ready for the bang.
Also little-meglet putting engine oil in the tank is illegal.

If you dilute it with diesel, petrol pr paraffin it's fine.I've been using waste veg oil for years in my Saab now and in my Citroen XM before that.

There are various reasons for and against using vegetable oil in diesel vehicles but from personal experience it is less problematic using filtered used vegetable oil than fresh vegetable oil.

you really are a gormless gimp arnt you diesel cars can run fine on vegetable oil and his car is a 57 plate and no it's not illegal as he tells the taxman and plays duty so maybe you need to do some research before you go shouting the odds numbnuts

What a plank can you actually read i said its illegal to put car engine oil in your tank,I never said putting veg oil in was illegal in,As for telling the taxman he must be related to you,You don't need to tell him unless you use more than 2500 litres a year,As for it being a 57 plate then iether your lying or he's had a twin tank set up fit in it,As your as thick as they come i'll explain what that means it means two tanks one with veg in the other with diesel ,The car starts on diesel then turns over to veg when its warmed up then back to diesel before the engine is switched off.thats the only way a 57 plate would run on chip fat as you call it without doing any damage. And as for research believe me m8 iv'e forgotten more than your tiny brain could ever learn,
Warning to members please do a search of the net and make sure your car will run on veg oil before taking this idiots advice.

from the link:-

Returning home, he looked round for alternative fuels, and tried a bit of central heating oil, which worked, he says, reasonably well. Then, remembering his schoolboy mechanics, he popped some cooking oil into his Volvo. "It mixed with the little bit of diesel I had left in the tank," says Nicholson. "Not only did it work, the vehicle actually behaved better. I never heard my car sound so good, there was a fantastic noise, not a clickety-click, more of a grunt. And then, of course, there was the smell." He used vegetable oil to tide him over until the blockade ended. But so happy was he with the performance it gave, that he decided to use it full time, and set up a website to exchange information on biopower. '

In fact now I think on the diesel engine was actually created to run on vegetable oil. Here's some homework for you google the name Rudolf Diesel.

4.2.1 Exempt producers/users
If you have produced or used less than 2,500 litres of any biofuel, or any other fuel substitute or additive
within the last 12 months, and/or expect to produce or use less than 2,500 litres in the next 12 months, you are an exempt producer and do not need to register with us and account for duty. However, there are simple record keeping requirements, which are described in paragraph 4.9.1.

Production includes the manufacture or processing of road fuel, and the setting aside of any product that has not been charged with duty, with the intention of using it as road fuel.

Rudolf Diesel's first compression ignition engine ran on powdered coal in 1893 not a resounding success
