what to do in malta? :|

Blue grotto.
Visit Valleta - lots of history and architecture.
Not a religious person but some of the churches over there are stunning inside - well worth a look.
A few decent beaches - Golden Sands is one of them.
Great seafood - loads of decent restaurants.
take a bot trip to the two smaller islands - Gozo and Comino. Some historical sites.
Loads of history to the place, as it has been invaded and settled almost continuously over the last two thousand years or so due to it's strategic position in the Med.

Slightly off topic - if you are after a great read, try "The Religion" by Tim Willocks - fictional novel about the invasion of Malta by the Turks in the 1500's - brilliant book imo.

Great deal, voted hot.

All of the above are brilliant places too visit,we have been to Malta a few times and still find different places too visit.
There is also a Drag racing strip there,a go karting track and a Car museum :)

Yep, I've been a few times too. Wasn't aware of the drag racing though!!

A great country with lovely people and great food.

Not many people are aware that there is a drag racing track there ;) We originally only went to Malta because of it,taking our cars out there too race!
We fell in love with the Country and now have many Maltese friends :)
I've just come back from this hotel, it was very busy and a budget hotel. I am very pleased with the cost against standard. Yes no air con, yes food was repetitive and yes the pool was treated nightly and I did notice it stripped colour from kids t shirts, but I'd rather that than people being ill. Very good AI drinks, no problem being served a round of drinks. Would recommend October. :)

Having just come back from staying at the above hotel, its' worth noting that it is currently overbooked. I waited 5 hours for my self catering apartment to be ready, only to be given a totally different room with no cooking facilities with the only alternative being to change hotels to one in St. Julianns the next day. After arguing with the manager, (we only saw him by chance), we were promised the room we had booked would be ready the next day. It wasn't and they tried to dismiss the fact i had booked a self catered apartment as opposed to a room only. Luckily after 15 minutes, the manager heard me arguing and came out to offer me the room he had promised the previous day.

Other people i saw arriving throughout the time i was there, were told to wait for hours on end (one couple slept in the reception area over night as their booked room 'wasnt ready'), told to go to another hotel, or downgraded. Since the dates above aren't in the high season hopefully anyone booking wont encounter the problems we did. I wouldn't recommend the sister hotel 'Blue San Maria' opposite though. We had to stay their for the first night and our toilet was constantly leaking. We spoke to other couples who were having numerous other problems with the facilitates in the room.

Apart from the troubles we had trying to get our pre-booked room, once we actually got to the room it was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We spent our days out sightseeing and a bit of shopping. Malta itself is a great country. The transport is frequent and reasonable and the people are very friendly.

[quote=Munstar]Yeah you did mention the stars. This hotel is one of the best in that area. About 4 years ago we stayed in the Neptuna or name similar which was a couple of hotels up the road. Back then the hotel was suppose to be a 4 star and san remo 3 star. Our hotel was awful and san remo was much better we ended up eating and drinking at san remo everyday and only going back to ours to sleep. The neptuna was being rebuilt when we went to ibiza in may last year and we stayed at the san remo. Its a good hotel and worth it at this price. Also your right it should be quiet at this time as ibiza only starts to pick up when the opening parties start.[/quote

Big deal what you think. You only made second ( maybe third or forth ) account to talk **** about other peoples deals. Not good , go away and troll elsewhere .

I did wonder...

THIS HOTEL IS NEXT TO THE MAIN SHOPPING CENTRE & ITS VERY BUSY HOTEL, FULL OF TEENAGERS [VERY NOISY]
Santa Susanna is a million times worse than Lloret de Mar. Honestly this is the ugliest resort I have ever seen in my life. The only nice thing there is the sun. It is full of really rough, tattooed people. I remember staying there and one day two families were fighting and swearing around the pool. - Yes thats how rough it is. Please avoid. Go somewhere nice - make up your own package and check tripadvisor before you travel anywhere.
Look on Ryan air cheap flights to Crete instead. You can get all inclusive hotels there really cheap and its not full of scum bags.
Please dont waste your money here unless you like it rough!
Sorry cold from me tooo as looking at tcs there is no way you can get this deal in the price mentioned rather you will end up paying 100 extra....better avoid
The hotel was a bit scabby when i stayed there, but ok for budget buy. Mostly caters for other northern europeans
Santa Susanna is lovely and a just short train ride from Barcelona. I highly recommend it

I wonder if the gran playa hotel includes any hoes?

yes, they use a hose when filling the pool
You can't book with ice lolly can you ? thought it was just a price comparison site.
What the weather like there in october?
Does this website give the same price as Ice Lolly ?
If you surely book with Ice Lolly, who i know have been around for a few years.
Just got back from Sa Coma, stayed at the neighbouring Coma Gran which is a Thomson family Hotel. The resort is nice, lovely beach but alsmot exclusively British / German, there is nothing remotely Spanish nearby, too xenophobic for me.
Also if you are thinking of hiring a car to explore the roads in and out of Sa Coma are poor. Next time I would stay on the West coast closer to Palma (shopping and most attractions like Marineland) or Alcudia (far livelier resort) in the North.

we went to ibiza last year in october and it was glorious 5 days out of 7 so just depends sometimes.
csiman. The deals title really does state Majorca , your feelings on a previous holiday to Ibiza are irrelevant to be fair to this deal. They are 2 totally different islands.
csiman
not exactly hot there either at that time of year. Went to ibiza around this time and it rained every day and everything was shut!

It all depends what you want from a holiday . Not everyone is interested in clubbing etc.
who mentioned clubbing? All the cafes & restaurants were shut!

did I mention Majorca?

Then you must really go to a different Majorca ( Palma Nova & Magaluf ) to us . Been going every year in October for many years and i have never seen them all shut .
