Only 3p less than Base
#2
True, but a whopping 2% difference on cashback ;-)
#3
the 1st part of the film was good, the last 25% killed it
#4
It was a very abrupt start, bizare middle and disappointing ending. That is my proffesional opinion:thumbsup:
#5
:)still gonna vote hot though because if you haven't seen it it is cheaper than renting:)

Agreed - voting hot even though I hated the film myself - people had hyped it to me so the reality was a real disppointment - if you haven't seen it you may be one of the majority who like it
#7
it's a good film, but then the ending was atrocious. the film was perfectly good with nothing in particular going on.
#8
cant find them on quidco
#9
Great film imo.

And although the ending isn't the best conclusion ever seen on a film, there is that rather wonderful 'flight' scene of lead character.

Hot from me.

#13
I saw this in the cinema and it it is one of the worst films i've ever seen, just really dodgy
#14
Good flick and top price! Nice 1.
#15
One of fav films - the end is amazing
#16
Indeed, they're not on quidco.
#17
gotta say this is one of my favorite all time movies!!!! love it!! the sound track is awesome too just a shame they aren't going to release it!!
#18
Stunning visuals, had a real feel of deep vast space, but yeah i thought the end sucked too.
Had the potential to be excellent until then..
#19
I got this film free, gave it away as its naff :-D
#20
Excellent special effects and suspense, thought the ending was particularly dazzling.
#21
Dazzling ending? Oh please, I went on holiday to Cornwall this August and I can assure you those guys screwed up that mission big-time. The sun is dead.
#22
Seen it twice and still can't remember the start, middle or ending!!
#23
brilliant, including the ending..... do we really want to live in a world where every film has to have a stereotype ending and have every scene spoonfed to us ?

i dont.

this film will appeal to the more sophisticated viewers
#24
Haha I'm glad to see i'm not alone in thinking this is one of the worst films ever made!! :p

I'm surprised it's not even cheaper!
#25
probably not the best film for thick people......
#26
If you go to the 'other' category on Quidco you will find 101CD.

I'm not sure it was really that good

Certainly not illuminating by any stretch of the imagination :whistling::whistling:

Actually it wasn't that bad - can't say it was overly memorable but certainly watchable.

Saying that, I watched Rambo 2008 last week and have to say I've not laughed so hard for years in an action movie - the plot is sub-par but the last part of the movie is a riot!!!

Ah, so you're saying it might be worth booking a holiday in the UK at some point in the future, after they've chucked some petrol on it (sorry to give away the ending).

Pretty good deal for a film that it would seem people either really like - or don't! I think if you watch it as a Sci-Fi you may be disappointed - it's a visually interesting, fairly stylish horror flick set in space. If you're a SF fan the incredibly ridiculous science will leave you either laughing or crying - the DVD is probably worth buying at this price just to have the 'science' commentary (assuming it's on this version) where some poor scientist has to try and justify the unjustifiable nonsense that is the 'plot'. Now that is funny...
In a fantasy film suspension of belief is a pre-requisite; in a supposed Sci-Fi you shouldn't be asked to swallow such impossible nonsense - even if it is pretty and gold-plated!
=== WARNING - SPOILERS ===
It's 50 years in the future - and the sun is dying. Of all the end-of-world scenarios I can think of that films or books have used this has got to be the least scientifically likely. Die? Yep. 50 years? - not even an order of magnitude close (current estimates about 5 billion years).
OK, swallow disbelief until...
It's 50 years in the future, and the human race can build a bomb that can re-ignite dying stars. Hhhmmmm, I doubt we'll be able to do this when the sun does eventually die, assuming we're still about then. 50 years? Not a chance.
OK, swallow disbelief until...
It's 50 years in the future, and the human race can build a bomb that can re-ignite dying stars - but they can't design it to fall into the largest gravity well here-abouts and then go off automatically, it takes an expert team of Earth's finest to pilot it there, and only the brainiest man alive can set it off.
OK, swallow disbelief until...
The first team sent to save the world failed because the captain decided that the sun was God, and that therefore he shouldn't save it (and Earth, the human race etc) but let it die - and kill anyone else trying to save it.
If you haven't choked with disbelief (or laughter) by now you'll probably love it....

Labeling people "thick" because they don't like a film is a bit silly. Almost as silly as labeling someone as thick because they forgot the apostrophe in "isn't". That's why you won't see me doing it.
#35
Whilst you lot have been waffling on this deal has expired.
#36
Damn right, the time for talking is over. A group of us have got together and we intend to re-ignite this deal with a special bomb. So if you wake up one morning and it's a particularly good deal, you'll know we made it.

I understand your logic perfectly but attempting to impress your take on the movie to others by suggesting that they are thick for having a different opinion is a bit on the thick side too :whistling:

I'd say it's a very average movie with some decent visuals - nothing more nothing less.

Oh and my IQ is 136 but I don't go for that sort of nonsense, so I could still be a bit thick after all :w00t:

I'll grab my spoon but there's not really that much to understand about the movie as I see it
