Being Bond related is probably a neggative

How much marketing crap do you need for an overpriced t-shirt?

Not necessarily true.
I have quality shirts that cost much more than cheaper ones
but they look good always and last and last and last.
Thanks for the post. Heat added.

I'm voting cold unless these shirts can stop bullets or get me into bed with a hot female Russian spy defect

The point of this forum is not whether, in your obviously misguided opinion, these are over priced. But rather, is a good deal for the product in question?

This is a half price polo, from a quality label, that you would not normally get this kind of discount on.

These are not your usual throw away rubbish that you buy from ASDA. They are quality garments, made from quality materials. But then in order to appreciate this you would need some sense of style. Which you, my friend obviously do not possess.

The point is they wouldn't have cost anything close to that money to make and therefore for me it's not a hot deal, it's overpriced no matter how much it's reduced. I haven't voted mind you.

In that case the three TV deals you have posted should have been cold, as, and I quote 'they wouldn't have cost anything close to that money to make and therefore for me it's not a hot deal'.

That's a stupid, stupid comment. Do you think that any branded clothing, or product in fact, costs anything close to what it sells for? It's called markup. Idiot.

So does this polo shirt make you behave like a prize **** too?

Can you find this product on sale for anywhere near that price? No. That's my point.

I can guarantee the markup on these polo shirts is significantly more than TVs. Really how much do you think they cost to produce? £3? £5? And they're flogging them originally at £63?

What? So you're saying overpriced MONSTEEEER HDMI Cables when on sale at £50 (from £100+) should be posted on HUKD and heated?

Just because it has a high RRP doesn't mean it's a good deal. RRPs are high to allow flexible marketing.

If said Monster HDMI cable cannot be bought anywhere else for cheaper (like for like) then YES it should be voted hot. The point of this site is to get the cheapest price for a particular product regardless of whether you can buy cheaper imitations OR if the cheaper imitation does the same thing. Its about finding the cheapest possible deal for a particular product. Not in my opinion either - thats the whole point of this site.

I'd love to have a Sunspel (they are top quality, better design and cotton weave than most) but can't afford to spend more than £25 on a polo really. Nevertheless, this is a hotdeal.

Sunspel polos are £54 at ASOS, £55 at Not Addicted, £45 at Fashion Classics and £59 at Stuarts of London. There are none on eBay.

"The polo shirt is a based on a 1950's shape, first developed for the Italian riviera and warp knitted to create a soft, light airy texture. It is supremely comfortable and evokes timeless style.

Sunspel t-shirts have now been worn by Christian Bale in The Dark Knight, Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, and by Charlie Watts during the recent Stones European tour."

"Polo shirts are available everywhere – but not this particular one. It is made from extremely long-staple 1½" (36mm) cotton. Only extremely long-staple, fine, soft cotton can produce an ultra-light knit such as this – with thousands of microscopic “ventilation holes” through which the slightest breeze will fan you and keep you pleasantly cool. Yet this fine mesh knit is completely opaque, always fits perfectly and keeps its shape, never snagging or going baggy."

I've got a Nicole Farhi polo that cost me £25 but is RRP'd at £79.99.

It is the best short sleeved top I've ever had. The look, feel, fit are all superior and I feel like a superstar when I'm wearing it. Quality doesn't come cheap and neither does superior design from someone of talent.
#23
My attitude to this is. If I buy a Polo shirt from Primark it will last 3 months. If on the other hand I buy this I will inevitably spill something down it the first time I wear it. Not voted

There are some real morons on this forums.

Here's a quick tip for a lot of people out there;

Just because it is cheap doesn't make it a great deal, and just because it is expensive doesn't make it a bad one.

No it's not, it's called hot uk deals, for good deals based on price and quality. Not 'post items at the cheapest price possible' irrespective of whether it's a good deal or not.

These are good quality clothes and whilst some people might not like the Bond link, I've got to say they are great quality and a really nice fit.

Heat added!

Polos seem to be small on me so having to trade up to large but the short and long sleeve tees are perfect. Spent loads, but worth it.

I fully concur with you but would sadly add, that is how it used to be. These days it's overwhelmed by Trolls who feed on confrontation & off-topic illiterate comments, which is damaging the ethos of the site.:(- also many 2p-50p 'Heatwave deals, often Store specific & about time, many members agree, had their own Tab.
In my recent experience of posting deals, I'm now learning it's better to ' try' to Ignore them, rather than feed their ignorant comments & fill the comments page.
