Brisbane £399

Says on the sheet 'All-in Selling Level (GBP) Per person, Economy

There are also Business class seats from £1849 (but 2 people must fly together, i.e. 2x £1849 to get the price). Bit odd, not too sure how that works!

If I flew out on 31st March (wanted to go beginning of April but happily change it for this price) I want to stop for 5 weeks, would this price still be relevant, because it only states about outbound flight! Going to be up late tonight waiting for this.........................

Please if anyone knows please advise!

Cheers

I flew with them Lon-Bris departed April and returned May 2009, so only recently. I have flown a few airlines long haul and I thought Singapore with great. Entertainment was fab as was food (for airline food!) and staff were very attentive. I have previously flown with BA and Virgin long haul which didn't compare, although out of the two Virgin were better. BA was dreadful.

I flew Economy and had no problems, on time and reasonable leg room. If I could have muzzled the 1 year old in the seat behind who screamed for 13 hours from Lon-Bris then it would have improved the flight. That said, earplugs did the trick.....

I've heard Emirates are also equally as good, but I've never experienced their flights. I had a free flight with my Airmiles where I could have chose Emirates or Singapore and chose Singapore based on the reviews. At this price, go for it...................

it's called a spouse fare...available on most airlines where one passenger is paying the full business class fare - you can get a spouse fare which is usually discounted at 50%. Both passengers must travel together on the same services both out and back.
By the look of these fare levels, looks like they've done the spouse fare calculation and ended up at 2 fare of equal value IYSWIM

We flew with them in Feb this year to NZ with our 3 year old and they were very good. The Airbus A380 was excellent and the staff noticeably better on that flight for some reason. We paid over £1000 each and that was even for our little boy (who was 2 at the time!).
#26
if you get to fly on the new A380 which Singapore airlines do have and use on the lhr-sin run then it's a double deal and a good oppourtunity to fly this new double decker jet. Singapore airlines were the first airline to introduce the A380 and for the first 2/3 weeks of it's first flight from sin to syd the tickets were going for something like $8000
#27
What do you mean by "double-deal"?

As they said the flights were selling for $8000, and this is around $800, I'd guess thats why they think its a double deal. Plus it's a brand new, top of the range aircraft so it may be more comfortable?
#29
WOW, gonna check this out tomorrow for sure!!!!

can't wait to check it out tomorrow

Another silly question..... Do you know if it would be possible to book a stopover? After flying earlier with Singapore Airlines, I wish we would have had a stopover coming back in Singapore. I am guessing I would be needing to book a multistopover flight???

I'm sooo excited, I am staying up late tonight just to try and book this one....

Really? Why not. I'm only economy cattle but I've never flown better economy, and I've flown a lot.

hmmm this is tempting.

anyone know of decent sites to look for booking hotels in and around new zealand or australia?

Also any idea if once over there things are pricey? ie expensive dining, general shopping etc?

Well I am very surprised, care to elaborate why?

I am a very frequent flyer and as far as I`m concerned Singapore are quite simply the best of the lot.

Having never booked a flight online could someone tell me if this is likely to work with a multi city holiday e.g. 3 flights heathrow-singapore singapore-sydney sydney-heathrow? Just got a quote for this combo...what's the likelyhood of putting the details in tomorrow and getting the cheap flights included? Or will it be just a few flights and so a bit hit and miss?
#36
Hot as feck!

Awesome!

Looks like I may just get out to see my bro in Singapore this year afterall.

Thank you so much.

ive just come back from Oz last week and the cost of food (supermarkets) is a lot higher than the UK. For accom we waited and got a deal with the Accor hotel group and ended up paying £36 per room per night in Sydney room only which was half price. Accor have lots of these deals on so book the flight and wait for the deals to appear

i very much doubt that you will get the cheap flight with a stop over included, these are more likley going to be direct flights - i hope they prove me wrong though so its worth a pun :thumbsup:

Hi, i used tripadvisor to plan my trip. It was very helpful with the reviews of hotels, etc and then we used a comparison site such as hotelscomparison.com to see who was the best. In terms of dining, we had some very reasonable meals, and in sydney 'rocks' area two pints of guiness cost us less than £6! I think you just have to do yous research.

the new A380 which Singapore airlines do have and use on the lhr-sin run

My bro has been on the A380 & says it's some machine.

Just out of interest, does anyone know, is it still just LHR - SIN or have they more of them by now on the Manchester - SIN run too?
