Hi

Submitted this as a deal request yesterday, and then carried on hunting for cheaper, but it turns out this is cheaper than anywhere else :) - for £44.76 you can get:

Super King Size Fitted Sheet
4x Oxford Style Pillow Cases
Super King Size Duvet Cover

in Plain White 400 thread count Egyptian Cotton.

You need to use promotional code DCTV to take 20% off, and then you can knock a further 10% off by going through Quidco too, which brings it down to £40.28 delivered!

You can also purchase these items separately; this isn't a set, and the other sizes are similiarly excellent value.

This is a great deal, voted hot... but use DCTV (per Quidco) to get 20% off your final order (so long as its more than £50) to bring the whole lot down to less than £40 plus postage.

I just got a place of my own and have been looking for bedsheets and stuff. Is this really a good deal because I thought stuff like this would be a lot cheaper. Is it really good quality, is there cheaper in the budget range and will you be able to tell much difference between these quality sheets and cheaper ones?

You could spend less than half this quite easily, but, and it's the same with cutlery, plates, linen, towels, furniture... if you buy good quality stuff, it'll last, if you buy cheap stuff, you can tell the difference, and it won't last as long. I've just got my own place too and I'm fortunate enough not to have a budget, particularly; things just cost what they do and I can afford to buy it, so I've got second hand Wedgewood cutlery from eBay, goose down duvet and pillows, memory foam sprung mattress, iron company bedframe, top of the range dyson (refurbished, but sold to me by Dyson themselves with a 2 year guarantee), it's knocking me back a fair bit but I've literally spent hours hunting for the very best deals so I'm satisfied everything I've bought hasn't just been a bargain, it's been a steal (this linen for instance, look around, it's normally £40 just for a duvet cover by itself made of this material).

i received my 400 thread count sheets....doesnt look and feel that fantastically different to ordinary sheets, i thought 200 was supposed to be good and 400 to be super good.

anyone else not impressed?

Actually impressed.....

..... but when the sheets are brand new, you are correct, that there is little objective difference in softness or feel....

However after a couple of washes you will clearly be able to tell which is which

and these are then soft and lovely and comfortable, whereas the cheaper ones are feeling hard and far less giving when you roll over etc

a few weeks later, they have softened up, with a good quilt im sure i'd be impressed

wish i'd chosen white instead of strange ivory now though
