Welcome to Adventure! “Super Lucky’s Tale” is a delightful, playground platformer for all ages that follows Lucky, the ever-optimistic, energetic, and lovable hero, on his quest to find his inner strength and help his sister rescue the Book of Ages from Jinx. Jinx is the scheming and mysterious villain trying to reshape the world, but for what reason? Along the way, encounter a hilarious supporting cast of friends and adversaries. Lucky must confront the nefarious Kitty Litter, Jinx’s mischievous kids – self-taught villains who might not be getting Jinx’s plans quite right. Lucky meets friends and allies along the way too. He meets misplaced Yetis, Kooky Spookies, a village of farming worms, and other colorful friends inhabiting the Book of Ages. Test your skills with carnival attraction mini-games and nerve-wracking obstacle courses. Plus, surprise “Jinx Levels” popping up when you least expect them, drawing Lucky into a fiendish game of life and death. Explore hidden secrets of new worlds with Lucky’s signature burrow move. Dive into unpredictable foxholes, or try devilish side scrolling challenge levels to unlock additional rewards. Head back to the era of classic platformers with challenges players of all skill levels and all ages can enjoy.

I think you've quoted placeholder pricing there mate. I think it's a £20 game. Amazon.com have it listed at $29.99

Well, it's still a good price as a launch tag. £49.99, though. Could you imagine? :D

Heated, of course.

A video game with a Fox as a playable character and a "tale/tail" pun....

It'll never catch on....

Dario - The San Marino based Water Systems Engineer- Land... looks awesome and original mind you...

Looking forward to this, nice to see this kind of game and pricing structure. If Yooka Laylee (sp?) had been this price at launch it would have been a no brainer.

I honestly think the burrowing looks like a unique move but other than that, this seems like a poor attempt at a 3d platformer to me, yooka-laylee looks alot better, the sound of the fox jumping was annoying me after about 3 times of hearing it in the reveal trailer, maybe my opinion will change when the price goes down and i see more gameplay, but I'd like to see them have the option to disable sound effects if we want to, the voices/mumbles in yooka-laylee are sooo annoying aswell, I feel like these types of games would appeal to adult gamers if the sound effects were not so repetetive and childish i suppose is what i'm getting at :{

I believe this was originally a VR game on Oculus Rift and was seen as a mascot for that tech. Obviously it's now been ported over to Xbox but without the VR stuff

Indeed it is. Playing Lucky's Take on the Rift was a close to that initial moment playing Mario 64 in modern times, similar feel to both the gameplay and the "new" way of experiencing games. Big wow factor.

I can only assume long term plan is to make this a VR game on Xbox further down the line.

This is an atrocious game. Played on Oculus and it's only worth a go on there as a way to experience VR.

This looked cringeworthy from the E3 trailer. Full of cliche and cloying attempts at cuteness.

Basically Mario if it was made by an entire boardroom of suits painting by numbers.

This is a new game, not a port.

take a fairly generic game whos stand out feature is VR... and remove VR. I dont get it! :/

does this have much extra content over the original game (my understanding is it is not a totally new game)

thanks

"[This game is] supposed to make kids like you smile"?
"[Games are] supposed to make kids like you smile"?

Basically I'm not sure what you've actually said, but there are plenty of good games that aren't shallow rip-offs to make kids smile and beyond. This isn't one of them.
