Get it at Zavvi on Blu-Ray (1 Disc) for £12.99 with Free Del, and save £7 off the RRP.

This movie has not long been released on Blu Ray & DVD and is not yet widely available. It has been digitaly remastered and might just make a nice xmas pressie for someone.

* Please note Zavvi have made a mistake with their product description as they have the Episode list for an old Super Mario Bros cartoon series, but the item is definetly the Motion Picture Movie.

For comparison the only other availability I am aware of is Ebay £15.99, and Amazon £19.99. The Blu-Ray is even cheaper than the DVD!

I watched this at the cinema when it was released.

There...I've admitted it on a public forum.

My therapist will be proud of me, taking that first step.

Worse still, I quite enjoyed it oO

That said this price must be a joke and as such is cold as ice...:D

Just in case it helps anyone wanting it on DVD (not a deal though), the DVD can be bought on Amazon for £15.99 with free delivery.

I can't understand why it is a joke, when it is not widely available is relatively new and has a £7 discount (more than 1/3 off). Are you voting it cold in relation to the price measured against your view of the quality of the movie?

The Barry Normans out there need to get themselves over to IMDB (the movie reviews and ratings site), because last I checked this was still HotUKDeals!

This film belongs in the "Things to watch when there's nothing else to watch." collection.

This is one of the worst movies ever but I have to admit I watched it about a month ago for the first time in about 10 years and I secretly enjoyed it a little bit :p ...wouldn't watch it again though, maybe in another 10 years lol.

Like "Howard the Duck", so bad it's good?

Doesn't this star former Nottingham Forest striker Marlon Harewood as a Gumba?

OI! I'm more of a Claudia Winkleman I'll have you know :{

Erm, yes showing my age there! I share your preference :)
#13
even as a kid I knew this was a horrible film
#14
Even as the OP, I can't deny as movies go this is terribly scripted! It does however at least have action and kids like to see live action characters from their cartoons or computer games. Am thinking my kid will like this seeing he is just getting into Mario games.

It's available on Amazon also; It's overpriced, (£7 off lol) that's why I voted cold.

Even better let's do away with all comments and opinions and just have a hot and cold button...(_;)

Make your mind up ...

fuzzydunlop, given the previous comments I am just acknowledging the movie is no Oscar contender. I can also acknowledge there is a correlation between quality of item + price in whether or not someone votes hot or cold. I just felt the correlation had gone 100% about the movie quality in 1 or 2 of the posts.

Yes, and its more expensive on Amazon, hence this being a good deal!!! I sense I am wasting my breath though here. As it happens Amazon have just reduced their price to £15.04 in the last hour or so since this was posted, however Zavvi are still comfortably cheaper.

You said it wasn't widely available, hence the Amazon comment. Look, don't take it personally it's just my opinion that this is overpriced despite it being a recent release or the cheapest available.

watched this with my son got to be one of the worst films I,ve ever seen but not as bad as tekken 2 :()
#22
I got this for £12.50 on release from Amazon and it was £12.99 at that point on Zavvi. Still reasonably priced compared to other sellers elsewhere.

One of those marmite films but I personally enjoyed it as a child and enjoyed it even more on blu-ray :)

I 100% stand by the comment of it not being widely available. You seem to have very limited internet access if Amazon, Zavvi, and a single Ebay seller are your only online shopping options.

How is this. It a budget blu Ray ?

I think the film is good fun , bad in a good way . I would like the blu Ray but I was sure ur would be about £7.99 I'm shocked right now
#28
How is this so expensive ^
#29
Still more expensive than it was on pre-order I see!
#30
Because:

(a) It has only recently been digitally remastered to blu-ray / DVD, was previously only available on VHS!
(b) Not that unusual for new blu-rays / DVD's to be expensive when first released.
(c) And it is also not widely available.

It surely will be available for about £5 on DVD and £8-10ish on Blu-Ray in the future. But if it makes a perfect xmas pressie for someone given the points mentioned above, it is still a decent deal?
