Super Mario Galaxy £26.87 at Toys R Us

Just got a flier through the post today to say that Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii is going to be £26.87 (nice round number!) at Toys R Us for 4 days only (16th -19th November) This is instore, but it does say on the flier Available Online - Product Ref 806277, which quite handily doesn't link to anything yet!

Anyway, looks like a good price to me!

Apologies if already posted, I did a search and was surprised not to find it!

Now showing online, but out of stock!

Can't believe I ordered this on the 5th of Jan in the belief it was imminent.

I'll believe it's actually out when I've got it in my hands, as the actress said to the bishop.

Cheers

can someone confirm this so i can cancel my preorder?

I got Mario Strikers from ToysRUs when it first came out as well, which was the cheapest shop I could find it in. Although I had to wait 15 minutes in the queue to get the disc from the stockroom, AFTER I had paid for it. I'm guessing the supermarkets will be selling them for about £30.

Cant confirm Galaxy price, but Metroid Prime was the same price in the first few days after its release.
#5
I had the flier yesterday too. Will be heading down there on Friday!
#6
If my Virgin order is cancelled (£23.34) then I will be heading down but I always give Asda a ring first as they often do new releases for around £27.
#7
I got the flyer as well
#8
If you have a flyer, Asda will price match it no problem. Where do you get the flyers from??

Nice shelf price. I am on pre-order at GAME with the SNOW £3 off code making it £29.99 plus 11% quidco & double reward card points (which I believe is 5%). If all goes well that should be £25.19 out of pocket without leaving the house.

I have not had a problem with quidco + reward card from GAME yet (in my limited experience), should they work together?

Ooh, tempted to cancel my Virgin order for this as that might not arrive on Friday...

I assume we got the flyer because we have one of their loyalty cards, it was addressed to me.

With Game and Quidco on pre-orders when does it show on quidco? I have ordered Mario & Sonic but the quidco hasn't tracked yet. All previous in stock purchases have worked fine.

If it does track after shipping then i will oreder mario galaxy today! Save that petrol!

Save that petrol!

I know what you mean, it always amazes me when people are happy to travel an extra 10 miles in order to save a few pence, not realising that they'e spent over £1 on petrol.

Obviously, this is a good deal, if you are going to be near a Toys R Us anyway. If it's 50p more in Tesco down the road, then really that's cheaper!

I seem to be dissing my own deal here - doh!

You probably haven't been charged yet? (it is a pre-order as well, yes?) I believe it should charge then track from the point of delivery...

Don't be so sure about Asda. I went in last week and they were selling Endless Ocean (RRP £19.99) for £27.71. I told the lady that Morrisons had it for £17.99 and what the RRP was but she was having none of it. Bought from Morrisons and they still have it on sale at the higher price when I went in this morning.
As for Virgin, so far they have shipped the item before day of release and it arrives exactly when it should (next day). If that is not the case with Mario then I will be very unhappy...but I have faith.

Just got my Mario Galaxy (US version - I have a friend in Nintendo) and it is by far the best game I have played in years. An ESSENTIAL purchase for anyone who has a Wii.
The TRU price is a good one, too!
#17
I didn't like Super Mario Sunshine, is it better than that?
#18
I honestly think it's the best Mario game for years - yep, better than Sunshine (and MUCH better than Paper Mario!)

so can you get this deal in ASDA if you just state that toy'r'us are doing it for this price??
I have never done it in ASDA before so would like some info thanks.

the asda by me dont price match at all , anyway i think this game is going to sell out very quick everywhere so paying a few quid more will be better than missing out , ebay sellers will be buying up stock at this price.
#21
no worries i have it on pre-order @ powerplaydirect for a good price and know i will get it :)
#22
just phoned up my local ASDA(crewe) but they need a Flyer, do you think a scan of the flyer would work?
If it could can some one that has it message it me and i would be very happy.

Picked up Super Mario Galaxy at lunchtime from Toys R Us for £26.87. They had plenty on the shelves but looks like they are selling fast as there were 3 of us with this game in the collection queue.
