Picked this up instore at Peterborough. Had a proper shelf label so looks like it's nationwide and not a store clearance job.

Pic of receipt

It looks like you left out the important bit in that picture. Namely where it states the product you bought for £15 :)

A great find for anyone if they can get a copy for this price. I had thought reasonably-priced copies of this had gone extinct ages ago.

It's on there...........ASDA use the EAN/Barcode number rather than the name.

Ugh, the overused ellipsis. One of my pet hates.

Anyway, it's not very helpful as evidence to be honest. The number quoted in the receipt comes up empty in EAN searches if you type it as is, and I doubt anyone is feeling as remotely as **** as me today to even bother looking it up :p

It's £9.95 instore at Curry's.
I doubt they would hang around long at that price but worth a look none the less.
[mod]#6
Well........that was worth photographing then X)
#7
Just out of interest why would anyone post a fake deal up on here? What's the motivation?
#8
How did you get the £2 quid off? Standard Asda vouchers?
#9
Doesnt' the left hand side show two I's. As in WII"?

Reciept looks in remarkably good condition and come off it no one goes into asda with out buying a few groceries....no date on the reciept either. I'm calling bull on this deal.

Can't see the pic so dunno about the condition but at my local Asda (and I doubt its unique) you have to pay for Games, dvds etc at a seperate till as that's where all the discs are stored. As a result, groceries wouldn't show up on that one.

It's the car park refund voucher. Costs £2 to park at our ASDA but you get it back when you spend more than £10 instore.

As for no groceries..........our ASDA has a seperate entertainment section and you can't take games through the normal tills.
#16
You can take games through the normal tills in our asda, quite often they close the normal entertainment/games till before the regular tills and you have no choice.

The EAN is correct but is missing a final 5 - 0045496369545

Wasn't this only £17 when it first came out last year - has the price fluctuated and gone higher since? I'm sure I only paid £17 (and no I do not have the receipt to scan/copy/DNA test). Just curious.

I stand corrected regarding my previous comment. Someone else *was* **** enough to bother looking it up ;)

To be honest I didn't expect to cause such a fuss with my first post. I made a nitpick about the receipt pic suggesting it wasn't really relevant to the deal (since you couldn't clearly make out what it was a receipt for) and wasn't intended to cast doubt as to its legitimacy. Apologies if it looked that way to anyone.

and I am calling you a fool.. what reason would a long standing member of over 5 years wish to gain from posting some fake receipt .. really you need to get out more

Bought this for £9.97 from Currys tonight. Worth looking out for, it's obviously on it's way down in price.

Asda always miss out the last number on barcodes, when I worked there if we put the whole barcode in we would get "item not recognised" flash up on the till. :p:3

I know people will not believe me but I got this game for £9.99 yesterday from PC World, It was the last one in the shop (Doncaster) and had a standard white sticker with £9.99 on. I don't have the receipt here (my other half has it with her).

EDIT: I got the product code from the receipt emailed to me but I can't find anything on Currys or Pcworld Websites: S Mario Allstar 0000354601

For anyone with this game, this trade-in offer may be of interest: http://www.gamestation.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HubArticleView?hubId=130260&articleId=130261&catalogId=10202&langId=45&storeId=10651&cm_sp=WhoGamesWins-_-Tradein-_-DOTW (£20 Credit + 2000XP Points (worth£5))

You and Trebor (above) should post as an offer then as that's a cracking price.

I was going to, but it's obviously just clearance stock (ain't gonna be everywhere).

I suspect all Currys/Dixons/PC World's with stock will be £9.97

At our asda, in Birmingham we get £2 if they make a mistake on the receipt! Last week we bough £1 body wash, they scanned it as over £1 so we went to customer services and they refunded us the mistake, plus gave us the £2 voucher! so it's worthwhile going out of your way to pick up something like that! ;-) lol only takes 2 mins to stand in the queue... well worth it!
