I have one of these from DealEx. So tiny and it only sticks out from your laptop a little bit. Hot!
#2

I think you will find its an HUKD referral, how else do you think the site is funded:thumbsup::whistling:

Edit: I too have this dongle and its a great buy, (it was about twice this much when I bought mine though and still a bargain then!). It really is small and can be left in a laptop all the time without risk of damage.

Here's another stupid question - if I plug this into my XP Pro SP3 netbook, will it then automatically pair with any bluetooth headset and work in Skype?
#13
Cheers, this will come handy when hooking up the mobile to the PC.
#14
What's the real range on these? I've got a micro belkin 2.1 one and any further than a metre away and my mouse starts to skip and jump. If the computer's thinking about something then it does the same too, are these any better?

#16

Can anyone confirm if this will work without installing extra software on XP.

I have a bluetooth at the moment that works from the core drivers (and doesnt require the dire blue soliel or other software to be installed). But current one is a big old fashioned dongle. fancy this but dont want to use 3rd party bluetooth software ?

Yes I bought one of these a while back. Worked fine with my XP desk top pulg and play, but Vista on my lap top would not recognise it. Any advice on drivers appreciated.

Even for such a cheap price it's not really worth it. I've bought 2 that have not worked at all.
There's links to 2 more reliable dongles in the for forum post above.

My dongles have 3 curved lines instead of straight lines like in the picture, read the forum posts and anyone who gets the one with curved lines is having trouble getting it to work.

I'd rather pay the extra couple of dollars for one thats got a better chance of working.

just bought one of these off ebay 99p inc delivery
#30
Can anyone provide a link for the driver download please?
#31
I had one of these, no problem no drivers XP or eeeBuntu. Not very physically well made though and fell apart after few months.

The one I bought is the same with three curved lines. Totally agree buy the one with the straight lines for a few dollars more as it comes with the CD, don't waste your money on this one. I have a legit XP license on my AA1

Mine is a BCM92045B3 ROM (Broadcom - Red Led type)

I would start here

If you have got in to a cycle of conflicting stacks/drivers then read this

I just played with these drivers again on my vista desktop and everything detected fine there too ( the ensuing diag of my BT PAN froze , but device is same as it is described in XP)

Win 7 RC worked too after a reboot

COCO

#37

#38
I have seen these so many times.

I will have to get one, just to see how good they are.
