Good deal but this game is just so awful.

I found the main game to be short and mostly easy, but it was fun and it was nice to control a Monkey Ball game with a proper pad once again, instead of with a Wii remote or the DS' touchscreen.

The mini-games were rubbish though!

Here is a roundup of game and hardware reviews, Some bad points but lots of good ones too. Would have been better if they'd got the e-shop ready for launch and had a better launch line up but I'm pleased with it so far.

Luckily there are a couple of great games built in to get you started, I am keen to get a new game though so thanks for the heads up on this one....

3DS is amazing. Absolutely loving it. If your eyes feel strained just turn down the 3d a tiny bit and its perfect. Effect still amazing at half setting for 3D. Street fighter - I cant put it down, hooked to online play. Pilot wings is great, bit short, but well worth it. If you want to complete game 100% it takes time to collect everything.
My opinion is anyone bad mouthing it, hasnt tried it or doesnt adjust 3D

I agree the 3DS is flipping amazing ;) I only have the 3D at around 20% and the effect is still superb. The console is totally worth every penny.

I'm playing games I wouldn't normally consider - like Monkey Ball (short but sweet) and Pilot Wings as the 3D just makes them more fun.

As to headaches, I get them if I'm my laptop too long so the 3DS is no different.

3ds is ace, and supermonkey ball 3d isn't a bad game.

the mini games are not too bad, i mean you can't expect mario kart playability on the racing game but it still fun,

very good for the price

very good for the price
One thing that this is not is good value for money, even at this price. The main mode is decent but short, and the other two are terrible. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a launch title it wouldn't even be getting a look in. It's a disappointing title overall.

Good price - i'm hoping PES will hit this price too as they're similar in that they're merely chopped down versions in many ways.

And let's face it, a lot of it is going to be the usual internet fanboy guff of repeating negative "opinions" about it without actually having played it. Personally I love it - the 3D genuinely adds an extra depth and solidity to the games that I was quite surprised by. Nice unit generally too, with a great control pad.

Monkey Ball is dropping like a stone, isn't it? £17.98 barely a week after launch? Ouch. Hot price, though.

the 3ds is rubbish, pointless and massively overpriced,it isnt 3d its just blurry no matter where the slider, and having to try and keep your head in the sweet spot is stupid, shame as this was the first ds console i purchased at launch-glad i got it from hmv tho-took it back after 2 days, and only lost 7 quid

It's a shame it wasn't for you. I've had the opposite experience to you, no blurriness and great 3D. Sure, there's a sweet spot, but I even walk along the street playing on the way home and have no trouble viewing the 3D.

£21 trade in (Cash) at Cex so worth a look and sell it on if you don't like it!
I got this with the little fellas DS but haven't played it as yet. Been pretty impressed with Pilot Wings though :D

Adjust the 3D bar, and as long as you don't wave it around like an idiot in front of your face then you should easily maintain the sweet spot.

Anyone new to Nintendo portables and didn't have a DS before getting a 3DS should check out the original DS version of Monkey Ball. Its got more content and better minigames. Ok its not 3D but still great fun. Air hockey is great fun on it.

This game is pretty dissapointing, im a big fan of the monkey ball games on the gamecube but this is just too short and too easy.
However could be worth getting to trade in at HMV and get £28 for it off another game.

would work out to be £30 spent if you trade this towards a new game, or £25 if you get one of their preowned games (which are £5 less)

This game got me shadow wars(great game) and salsa dip.
Great trade-in value for such a mediocre game.
