Prepare to enter a whole new dimension with Super Paper Mario on Wii! The planet's favourite plumber returns in the third Paper Mario game, bringing a different perspective to the series as he calls on old friends - and foes - to help him tackle a mysterious enemy from a bizarre parallel universe. Lead Mario in his quest to overthrow the evil Count Bleck before he succeeds in creating a Chaos Heart and bringing about the end of the world as we know it, playing as Luigi, Princess Peach and Bowser along the way as you free them from captivity.

With the Wii Remote held sideways like the traditional NES controller, Mario's quest starts off as a classic platform adventure - but appearances can be deceiving! With a press of the A Button, your perspective on the world changes from 2D to 3D, and the seemingly flat worlds gain hidden depth, with plenty of secrets to be discovered.

An involving mixture of RPG and platform elements, Super Paper Mario offers a huge adventure spread over eight eye-catching environments with something new to discover around every corner. Enlist the aid of Pixl sidekicks along your path to gain special skills. By pointing the Wii Remote at the screen for example, you can get secret information and reveal hidden objects along the way!

Is this game any good? Seems a good price

I bought it when Zavvi had it for the same price instore.
I like it as does my husband but the storyline pieces get a bit annoying as there's no way to just skip the whole lot...so lots of button pressing to get past all the dialogue!:x

I have this game and I dont really like it. Theres too much talking with the characters an the whole "flip" thing from 2d to 3d annoying. Super Mario Galaxy so much better
#4
Top price, been lookin for this game for under £20 for ages. Heat added!
#5
get it if you're bored of galaxy
#6
Superb game - more of a 'pure' platformer than Galaxy.
Some superb effects and puzzles, I would recommend it.
#7
If you want it cheaper ( 2nd hand) , its 12.99 preowned at Blockbusters in store.
#8
good price, but i was lucky and got it for 9.99 in bargain bin last week in different store.

Haven't had my Wii long, but I thought this was available as a download for the Virtual Console?

It costs about £7 worth of Wii points...an extra £13 seems excessive just for the packaging.

It's a really funny game and the level design is brilliant and very imaginative. :)

If anyone buys it and gets an error message at a certain point dont worry as it was a bug in earlier versions. There is a solution which can be found online to avoid it too but I dont want to explain so it doesnt spoil the game.Nintendo offered to replace the disk but I asked way back when I got mine and just got a response to do the avoiding fix instead. ;)

The Paper Mario on virtual console is the first game out on Nintendo 64 in case anyone gets confused. The 2nd for Gamecube is really rare though so that is one to look out for.

Good price my son just paid £27.89 for this from sendit
#17
Has there ever been a really bad Mario game? Excellent game, a storyline and actual gameplay included too. Nice.
#18
Its not a game, its a book. You'll spend 70% of the game just reading words on the screen.

Had it pre-ordered, flogged it on eBay within a week after it had arrived.

Mario is Missing - NES/SNES - godawful edutainment game

"Welcome to Mario is Missing! Take a trek with your travel agent, Luigi, and see the world! Track down troublesome turtles. Figure out where in the world you are, and what on earth happened to Mario. If your grasp of geography is good enough, you'll get the goods, stomp the hoods, and grab Mario out of Bowser's ghastly guest house. A learning adventure that the whole family can share.

This is no Koopa stomping mayhem. It's a fun way to learn about our world. In the game, you get to:
* Explore exotic cities
* Steer through streets with maps and a compass
* Get clues from friendly people
* Read pamphlets for famous landmarks
* Retrieve fun facts and figures from a computer database
* Identify continents, countries, and cities to enlist Yoshi's aid
* Take snapshots of your adventures... and rescue Mario!"

This is in 2 for £30 deals all over the place - seen it in both GAME and Gamestation recently.

The preamble is irritating, but you can just speed through all the chatting mid-game, and the gameplay itself makes up for it in my opinion.
