Wow, what a bargain price for this splendid shooter, available on the PSN store.

The price was £6.19, but has been reduced to £1.19 for one week only, in time for SSHD's 3rd Birthday. (Offer changed slightly - see below)

Metacritic scores for this game average 85/100

You can also download a free patch for the game, enabling you to play it in 3D (if you have the technology to do such fancy things)

EDIT: It seems that Sony have goofed up this offer slightly, and instead are selling the Complete Pack for £2.39 (normally £7.99). This is still a bargain as you are getting the full game plus two chunks of DLC for just over two quid.

This offer is not listed in the Special Offers section either - you need to search manually for it in the store.

Top game. When I played the demo I thought meh, but purchased anyway.
I shouldn't really say this as I don't want my precious score to be beaten, but on the US PSN there are a couple of videos which show you how to get top scores.

Plus I really hate to say this, but with offers like this who needs PSN+....just my three cents
#5
Thanks. will add to my download list. I thought this would go down with it being the anniversary.

Just been on the Store and it is still showing as £6.29. Hopefully it will change later on today.

I was just thinking the same thing Andy. Glad to see that Sony haven't deserted us paupers.

I downloaded the patch the other week. My advice is don't press the OK button too quick otherwise your machine will crash.
I'm serious!!!...crashed on me 3 times then found out on the net that I pressed the button too quickly WTF!

I would have been today but I was posting in the Official EU PlayStation Blog Update post to point out that the "LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 Demo" was missing from the summary list, as well as finally getting around to downloading some of the titles I gained from the "Ten free games offer for PSP Go console" after my order of two M2 cards ("SanDisk M2 16GB Card (for Sony Ericsson mobile handsets/PSPgo console) £24.99 Play.com") arrived yesterday.

Better to list this twice than not at all!

Back in January 2009 I bought the "Super Stardust HD™ Complete (Game Pack)" [Super Stardust Triple Pack: Super Stardust HD™, Super Stardust HD™ Solo, & Super Stardust HD™ Team] for £6.49.

The information I logged at the time may be useful to somebody:

Super Stardust HD™ Complete (Game Pack)
1-4 Players; 1503Kb minimum save size; HDTV screen resolution: 720p, 1080i, 1080p; Network Features - "One time fee for use of downloads on up to 5 activated PS3™ systems".

Super Stardust HD™
File Size: 292Mb (1-4 Players; 1503Kb minimum save size; HDTV screen resolution: 720p, 1080i, 1080p; Network Features) - "One time fee for use of downloads on up to 5 activated PS3™ systems".

Super Stardust HD™ Team
File Size: 100Kb (1-4 Players; 1503Kb minimum save size; HDTV screen resolution: 720p, 1080i, 1080p; Network Features) - "One time fee for use of downloads on up to 5 activated PS3™ systems".

Super Stardust HD™ Solo Expansion Unlock Key
File Size: 278Kb (1-4 Players; 1503Kb minimum save size; HDTV screen resolution: 720p, 1080i, 1080p; Network Features) - "One time fee for use of downloads on up to 5 activated PS3™ systems".

Also, as I mentioned, the latest update (5.00):
Super Stardust HD™ Version 5.00 Update "stereoscopic 3D version"
Free Update: 239MB

Together with "Shatter", "Pain", & "Joe Danger", I play still play "Super Stardust HD™" weekly.

(or "weakly" if you look at my recorded scores!)

I never have that problem as I make a note of all the on-screen information (see above)! :)

Well sometimes I do have the shakes so X gets pressed by mistake, also happens on the battlefield more times than would care to mention.
Not just me though...

Oh and FP, off-topic but I've been playing NFS:Shift last few days and it is pretty good, probably not on par with the recent racers though.

This was a great game and well ahead of its time on the Amiga. Great revamp on the PS3, worth every penny.
#15
Anyone know when the PSN store updates ?

cheers for the heads up - will be getting this :)

Same here. Just checked and it's still at full price. Do PSN updates get rolled out in stages, or have I missed something?
#18
Anniversary sales seem pretty heartless just like discounted versions of games with extra features for late adopters. I paid full price for this when it came out. Perhaps giving a discount on the expansion packs would have been slightly more of a thank you for the fans if they didn't get them all.

Patience my friend. The store doesn't update until late afternoon, no exact time but around 5pm.

:) Thanks. The way I read the thread, some people had already manage to purchase it at this price.
#23
Def get this later then thanks for the heads up OP

Bought this last time it was this price and it is a great game - played it loads when I first got it (both in co-op and single player) and still play it every now and then, although not as frequently as I'd like.
#25
Great game, can't recommend it enough for this price! Has had more playtime on my ps3 than several other big name games..
#26
forgive me for sounding rather dim but do you need a 3d tv to play it in 3d or just the glasses? judging by the reviews im going to purchase this later, can anyone recomend any other games that are on the cheap?

A 3D TV unfortunately.
If your not sure about it, and dont want to only judge it on the reviews, there is a demo available to download.

Get PixelJunk Monsters it is also currently on offer at two pounds and a bit I think.

The user reviews seem more accurate than the professional ones.

Think there's a 5 pound minimum, the remainder will just stay in your account 'wallet'. Yes, you can pay by credit card.
#33
Bloody typical, I only bought this last week for £6.19!!!!
