Great beer.
Better ice cold in the sun in Portugal, but still good in grey ole England.
I prefer this to stella btw. voted hot

If anyone hasnt tried this get on board!!

great price!

Great beer + good price
#4
this beer is lovely and this is a good price!
if you have access to a makro cash and carry, this is (if i remember correctly) £11.49+ vat for 24, which is 56p a bottle. so if you like this and want it again after the offer is gone, print yourself a letter head and join up.
Most of the beers at makro aren't that cheap, but this is a stupid price.
#5
wow heat and rep added!

absolutely fantastic beer. asda often have this stocked at stupid prices too!
#6
quality beer, like another poster has said best drunk in the sun in portugal
#7
They also had this beer marked down at the Kings Heath Sainsburys but I grabbed the last bottles. I don't know if the deal is on at other stores.

Good deal.

This is a nice beer.

I saw last night in the same shop, that they're selling a bunch of beers on this 4 for 3 offer. One of my favourites, Tripel Karemeliet is now only £1.29 and on the same offer. Gorgeous Belgian effort that normally retails in Sainsburys for around the £1.80+ mark.

u will find it almost impossible to buy, at least that was my experiance in two different places

the stella family have a bock Artois... havent seen it in the shops but its advertised on the boxes. wouldnt mind trying that

oh yes,,, and thanks to the poster of this
#11
Each to their own, I suppose. I tried this as it was cheap but thought it was very bland. The Artois Bock is nicer IMHO.

However at 4 bottles for £1.77 it IS cheap.

#15

#16
Also have 500 ml bottles of Brakspear EPA at 94p and Marstons bitter at 89p ..so with 4 for the price of 3 a bargain booze weekend.

 @ blueflash.

Thanks for sharing OP
None left in Leamington (now :whistling:), but they may get some more on Monday night.
It is, by the way, very tasty - as previously suggested - far superior to Stella.

This looks a really good deal.

Does anyone know for certain if this offer is still on? I know the 4 for 3 offer is still going, but is the Super Bock still reduced to 59p as well?

To answer my own question, the 59p deal for Super Bock is still on and there seems to still be stock out there. I picked up 52 bottles from two stores in Exeter today, so am well pleased. Thanks to the OP.

I'll start another thread, but along the same lines, Lowenbrau Oktoberfest Beer 500ml bottles are reduced in store to 99p and are obviously also 4 for 3. This is proper 6.1% imported lager and 74p per bottle / £1.48 per litre / 84p per pint is a really good price.

this isnt in london sainsburys asda do 6x 350ml bottles for £3.98 dosnt taste the same as the portuguese one imo
#29
Lowenbrau Oktoberfest Beer is lovely...99p is a good price, but if its on the 4 for 3 offer, then I'm stocking up!!!!
The best thing about it....its not brewed in this country...i.e. its not pish!

All the bottles I bought today had 03/2008 expiry dates, but to me that's no problem, firstly because I will finish them before then and secondly because I'd drink any bottles left over even if they were a little bit past the expiry date.

As it turned out, when I bought 28 bottles in the second store I visited today, my total bill was quite a bit lower than I was expecting. Obviously I'm not one to cause a fuss, so I waited until later to check my receipt. The long and short of it is that while the sales assistant counted out the 28 bottles and confirmed the number with me, she only charged me for one. It's all good.
