Shop at Superdry quite often, certainly wouldn't consider myself to be a chav, neither would anyone who knows me.

I don't consider anything they sell to be overpriced, certainly considering the high quality of the goods you get for your money. In like a previous poster, I have 5 year old Superdry T shirts that have outlasted newer Armani and Boss Polos that were X3 the price, kept their shape and colour too.

Given that every Superdry store is massive with thousands of lines of stock I find it hard to believe you could go in, kit up and come out looking the same as any other Herbert.

Buying Superdry doesn't make you a sheep or follower, it usually means you're aged 20- 40. Want to spend money on something that isn't cheap, is well made, will last a while but it's not that time of year to treat yourself to a nice £90 polo.

What makes you a follower or a sheep is slating a brand you've never worn, from a store you've never set foot in arguing the quality of garments you've never worn or even seen close up, just because someone on here says so.

When you're arguing the merits of a 95p meal you really relinquish the right to slate someone's choice of fashion garment.

And it's superdry, which is cheap quality at overinflated prices to begin with...
#5
Because it is tat and still too expensive with 60% off.

Surprisingly, it seems that the 50% off here is more appealing than 60% :D :

Wonder if anybody that owns Superdry could give some advice on the sizes?

I'd normally be a M or an L (rarely), so seeing as it's Superdry, am I right in saying I should go for the L? I'm sure I've found their sizes to be on the smaller end.

I remember when I was wearing L/XL a few months back, I struggled to find anything in L that fit, and any XL at all in one of their outlet stores in the US.

Must admit to quite liking superdry myself due to the designs and good quality of the materials, particularly in the coats and jackets.
Even though they obviously design and spec stuff like the good heavy ribbing on the collars and cuffs along with good fabrics what let's them down is the shocking stitching and quality control during the assembly process.
The average superdry coat will have more loose ends on it than you'll normally elsewhere during the rest of your life.
I've bought two in the past which I've been pretty pleased with after a ten minute session with the scissors before wearing them.
The thing is you don't expect to be doing the quality control yourself when you've just paid superdry prices for it.

Im normally a medium or large ..but in superdry an xl..and even then I find it tighter around the upper chest and arms but looser around the stomach area..they do seem to size very strangely even allowing for the slim. fit their so keen so

Well said.I'm really tired of people on here giving me their fashion tips

Very poor quality abd service from Superdry Ebay, never buy again!

thanks, got a couple of pieces, shorts for next summer, +heat. I'm not a massive fan of superdry, but the few bits I've bought in the past have been top quality

Yes it's expensive but it is good quality. My superdry wind cheaters have been up the tallest peaks in the UK and my t shirts have outlasted some of my hugo boss stuff.

I suggest you stick to primark

Leaving aside that I'm not voting on this thread as I don't vote on tastes, but on whether the price is good for that product..

SuperDry is, to quote someone else online (not my words) "SuperDry is the label of chavs with too much spending money."

On a more serious note - find me a single superdry waterproof that uses a proper waterproofing material, live eVent or GoreTex-Active. Or if we are looking at warm jackets, let's find a superdry hydrophobic down jacket with 800+ fill power of 90/10 down... oh wait, they don't do down jackets.... and their other down jackets don't use primaloft, or any other known insulation.

Hoodies? They aren't even pure cotton, but 15% polyester...

So, I repeat - superdry is cheap nasty stuff, and walking around with it makes you look like a walking advert... but that's about tastes, not about the deal. I was commenting on the deal - and superdry uses a sports-direct/tresspass style of marketing, put a high RRP then sell at "discounts". So the deal isn't that good.

To each their own I guess.

a chav brand that has a flagship retail store in times square new york, they can't be doing too bad for a brand that is so bad according to your review.

Let's deal with each of your points in turn.
1) Superdry is a fashion brand not a technical outdoor brand. Let's not compare apples with pears.
2) Superdry use the eBay outlet to sell out of season or previous stock, hence the higher rrp and lower selling price. They rarely discount in store. With your argument Harrods also operate a sport direct/trespass price policy. Go figure.
3) Walking advert? It's called branding. Last time I checked most manufacturers do this. For what reason, I really don't know ;-)
4) I (personally) like some of their stuff, it's certainly not cheap and is usually very good quality. I'm assuming you have never purchased.

customer returned..not good quality packaging is crap. voted hot though for the price if you fancy any

I bought a jacket from their shop in Times Square a couple of months ago and had to move 2 sizes up from Large to XXL.

Most Chav brands do well. Burberry etc.

Chavtastic couldn't pay me to wear this gear. Look a right sheep / numpty.

Be aware of: "Condition: New with defects". Not sure how imperfect they are...
#31
I'm definitely in the side of superdry = chav. It's a horrid brand. While taste is a matter of opinion, saying superdry are 'quality', is just factually incorrect.

I bought a t - shirt that was new with defects and it just turned out to be some uneven stitching on the inside label. Not saying that's always the case but I think the defects are usually very minor and difficult to spot. Must have good quality control!

I'd love to hear what all these people accusing superdry of being poor quality and a chav brand are wearing....

Everything I've owned from them has been premium quality material and lasted years to prove it.

The officers coat I got about 4 years ago still looks as good as new, is really warm, it's VERY heavy due to the quality wool material and people always comment on how good it looks.

I'm most certainly not a chav and even if I was, you have no right to judge people like that.

One thing I would say, is yes avoid the ones listed with defects. It's usualy stitching errors or holes.

In terms of sizing, they're usually close fitting. I'm slim and wear a small usually. If you have a belly then size up.

All this being said. I don't like any of the stuff that's in their eBay 60% off sale. Don't like the designs.
The website with 50% off has better designs.

They are wearing primark and eating Tesco value ready meals.

But ask yourselves, do you want to look like every other Herbert walking down the street?
