I think he/she meant 'what type of batteries are they', not the size.

At £1.99 for 60 they will obviously be zinc chloride. The website only lists 2 kinds of AA batteries and these are both zinc chloride.

Total false economy in my eyes. More is not necessarily better and in this case, that would be correct. You'll be lucky if they last a week in a remote control, never mind anything that actually requires a little power...

Not very nice things to chuck in landfill. Better to buy rechargeable batteries or at least longer lasting ones.

if it is the same ones that i bought aa they went in the bin rubbish dont work at all
#10
They've gotta be pretty awful batteries at that price

i got a pack of the AAA the other week and they are absolute crap. i only wanted them for a wireless keyboard, wireless mouse and remote controls. they are lucky if they last 2 or 3 days on the keyboard, which is ridiculous. even the crap cheap ones from poundland lasted at least a week

i just got 2 packs of AA and 2 packs of AAA, 16 batteries each of duracel in a BOGOF from asda, so £10 for 32 batteries that should last much longer. amazon had similar prices

Just use ebay to purchase a pack of 100 Duracell Procell batteries for under £25. They are used industrially and not usually sold in the shops etc. Some of the best batteries money can buy in my opinion. 1 AA procell would have more power than the whole of the 60 AA's that poundstretcher are selling!
