First post, be nice :)

High-Speed 30GB SSD Solid State Disk from the Super Talent MasterDrive MX Series. SATA-II transfer rates, up to 120MB/sec read and 40MB/sec write speed. Suitable for systems with a SATA connection and especially useful in notebook computers due to low power consumption.

Not a great SSD really, pretty low read and write speed and that RRP is a joke.

120mb read and 80mb write is bad?

A Samsung F3 physical hard drive can achieve an average read speed of 125MB/sec and average write speed of 95MB/sec.

Well that's a desktop drive isnt it. This is a 2.5" drive...

But the whole point of getting a solid state drive is that they're faster than mechanical drives. Why bother if it's just the same?

Seems like a reasonable price if you want a small SSD for a cheap netbook/laptop.

One of the worst performing SSDs. However a good deal if you need the shock resistance, and aren't looking for good performsnce.
