I hope this one will work properly, unlike the first.

The first really had potential but if you played it for too long it just crashed, was also heavy on the CPU but refused to use more than one core. I don't think it ever did get patched.
Get your facts right!!! :)

The first one was one of the very few games that actually made use of Dual Core and Quad core processors.

It did get patched a few times. I can count 4 patches sitting on my HD but I am pretty sure there were more.

I admit that even with that it was heavy on resources!!!
Actually, it was supposed to support them but it didn't do it correctly. It'd just max out core 1. I can remember a fan released a Multi-Core Manager to try and combat the problem.

And when I said I don't think it got patched I was refering to the crash after a few hours. I know they tried fixing it but after I completed Forged Alliance I uninstalled them both so I don't know if it got any better.

I actually really enjoyed the gameplay, was very much like Total Annihilation. I'll also be picking this one up. Just wanted to express the fact the first one was a bit iffy on the side of stability.
I've tried the demo and what a let down. It's been massively dumbed down! Just like any other StarCraft or C&C
I didn't even realise there was a demo.

Here's a link for people if they want to try it before they place an order (Steam required):
