We have one of these and can highly recommend. Customer service is outstanding!

We also bought one, agreed the customer service is outstanding at both zooplus and sureflap. It also saves us about half of what we used to spend on food as we no longer feed all the neighbourhood cats.

As above, I had a camera watching the cat flap and found we too were feeding numerous cats!

The Sureflap put an end to that. The cat doesnt need any stupid collar tags either.

Good price, good buy!

Silly question, pretty sure a google would give the answer, but I assume you buy this, then cut a hole in the door, fit it and then setup the flap to recognise your cats specific microchip. Is that correct?

Also got two kittens, so assume it can handle more than one MC.
Thanks in advance

Hot.. bought one of these about 18 months ago on Amazon for about 75 quid. Never have an issue with it, takes about 10 seconds to register a chip. Think you can register upto 40 chips if youre a mental cat person

@GrantyGranty. The flap has a program mode and will register the cat's microchip as it passes through, or sometimes near enough, the cat flap. From then on it will unlock when the cat gets close enough, I believe it fails in the unlocked position if the batteries die but you should get a good 6 months from them. Good product and the customer service back up is good too. Makes a change!

Using 18 months now and changed the batteries once so far

We had a problem with cats coming into our house. We would find them asleep on the bed. We got this cat flap and it fitted the hole we had in the door already and no more cats now apart from our own in the house, Had it for about 2 years now and no problems with it. Best cat flap ever as long as your cat is chipped.

looks like cats TV

J1135:

This has a crazy amount of options to do with letting cats in and out at certain times, we have the large version. I think the manual is available online so you can see what's available.

Another general recommendation from me, Zooplus are good in general for food as well.

Great deal. Have one of these. Cat did take a while to get used to the clunk noise it makes when the cats chip is recognised and it releases the lock. Great at keeping other cats out.

zooplus rock! Customer service from sureflaps great too. our little furry girl has figured out how to open the flap from inside when its in the mode to stop them going out but let's them back in mind... not sure if she's just a clever cat as her brothers still too dumb to figure it out even after watching

Does anyone know if you can get a bigger size to fit a small dog?

You can get a pet door. Same thing only bigger and cost £100

Got one, fantastic things. No collar issues.

When renting, use the window adaptor (via ZooPlus or on Amazon) to allow this to be fitted into a window.

All you do is get a sealed unit piece of double glazing to replace the existing piece, which can be stored safely until you move out and replaced back then, good as new. Probably cleaner (!)

Costs about £200 fitted but easier than trying to negotiate with landlady/lord to agree to allow you to knock holes in existing walls for your little rat-catcher.

Then rinse and repeat at new property. Better than filling litter trays.

Any Qs just PM me.

Only prob with Sureflap is if it is near a big piece of metal (say a plasma TV...) then it will fail to operate due to interference. Hardly a problem, just a warning.

I had one of these but the neighbourhood cats got nasty when they weren't getting fed anymore. They mugged my cat up a dark alley, knocked him out cold, and stole his microchip. Then they took turns to eat my whiskas pouches. My cat was in the hospital 3weeks. I've tried remonstraring with the Catia. They threatened to torch my house and said they want fresh fish from now on. Am at my wit's end.

This might be the solution to my "stray cat" problem, however can anyone who has it tell me how quickly it opens when the cat approached, my ones tend to come through at speed (normally with the stray cat following!)
#23
Mine come through at speed when chased too. No issues. They get through, the stray doesn't. Brilliant cat flap. Magnetic are hopeless!

We bought one of these and they are fantastic. Have the local cats trying to get in all the time and this stops them. well recommended.

Just to let you know about my experience with this company.
Bought one of these catflaps off of them, delivered promptly, kudos to the delivery company, that's where the good bits end.
Cut out a hole and fitted this. Put both my cats through, not working. Door is double skinned steel but I did leave a 3 inch gap at the top so it wouldn't interfere with the sensor. Anyway, just to be sure I took it out of the door and put the cats through in open space, definitely faulty. Red light just continues flashing during learning mode. Reset a number of times but still no luck.

Contacted the company to let them know, they came back with I would have to wait 45 days before refund could be processed. I had rung them within 5 days of receiving the item to report it faulty. Anyway, quoted distance selling act etc and they agreed to refund. I had to pay return postage which they said they would pay back after receiving the item. Sent it recorded at the cost of £10 knowing they would refund a max of £7.50 but I wanted to make sure it arrived. Upon receiving it they refunded my Paypal payment but no postage. E-mailed them and was told it would take 45 days for the postage refund and they required my bank details OR I could have an £8 voucher to spend with them. Promptly sent off my details to receive an e-mail stating due to circumstances beyond their control they could only offer me a voucher, which they included.

Anyone know where I stand with this. They couldn't do anything about the Paypal payment because I would have claimed it back regardless.
