This is a very good deal because this is very good value for money. Next good deal, value for money posted many times before is in the link below .Price reduction for new members..... I think.
They are not surround sound speakers

They are bookshelf speakers
Normally buy stuff like this to blow it up. Eh let's see if I get bored.
great find op, heat added :)
Bought a pair for rear surround sound.
Worth a punt at this price.
I just got these and I'm quite underwhelmed by them actually and don't know why the reviews are so flattering.

I already have some Wharfedale Modus compact speakers (they don't have any other details on them) which I got from someone on Freecycle which I thought were a bit middish and lacking in bass and treble but they have a much more airy and open sound compared to these, which are severely lacking in something, maybe mids or treble I'm not sure. They're also a bit quieter overall, so must have a lower sensitivity than the Wharfedales.

Anyway, I'm sure they'll do for my Dad's PC speakers which is why I bought them. I was thinking of getting a couple of extra pairs for his living room and my surround speakers but I'll just use the Modus for my surrounds for now (they're quite heavy and a bit ugly so I was hoping to get something lighter, better looking and also with a fuller sound) and get some bigger speakers for the fronts and my Dad might be happy enough with his TV speakers once he gets the Vibe sub I ordered for him.
