Found this on Auto Trader...http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201612020269616?transmission=Automatic&model=CELERIO&postcode=rg278tw&radius=1500&year-from=2016&maximum-mileage=5000&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&make=SUZUKI&sort=sponsored&page=1
It's a white 66 plate SZ4 AGS with just 1 mile on the clock. It's on at £7,650 vs a list price of £9.8k (so already a £2.15k discount!). Find an old banger to trade in an you might be surprised at what you get offered to p/x.
You may not be in the market for an auto but neither was I until I started driving the wife's. It's great! Also there are that many auto's that do 70 mpg! Oh, and IMO, white is deffo the colour to go for. It just seems to suit this car.

OMG, you are a star. Thanks so much for going through the trouble to provide me with the tips and all that. I will keep you posted. Bless you

Am a recent convert to Suzuki but would advise against buying new. Go to AutoTrader and look for 66 plate cars with 500 miles max on the clock. You would be surprised at the level of discount you get buying pre-registered cars.
I think I averaged about £3,000 off each of the three Celerio's I bought.
Hi Joe90guy, I am in the market for a new celerio so seriously consideration nearly new as advised. I can't see the kind of savings you are talking about. Do you bargain further with the advertised prices from the dealers? Can you tell me how much roughly you paid for the three celerio, ho mnay miles on the clock, and the trim (SZ2 or sz3/dualjet etc) as a guide to help with my hunt for these? cheers

Hi,
I got the first Celerio back in May 2016. It was a 65 plate pre-reg SZ4 AGS (auto) in white with just 42 miles on the clock. List was £9.8k. Was on Auto Trader for £7.5k. Asked dealer for £1k p/x for our 11 year old Aygo and was amazed when he said yes, so 'real' price was £6.5k . Brilliant little car for so little money.
Second Celerio I bought in June 2016 for my daughter-in-law who had just had a baby and needed some practical spacious transport. It was a 65 plate SZ4 manual in metallic red with roughly 3,000 on the clock. List price was £9.4k and it was on AT as a private (cash) sale for £5,850. Didn't haggle on the price because it was so good already. Amazing price for what was virtually a new car!
I liked the wife's Celerio AGS so much that last October I decided to get one for myself. Mine was a tricker buy as it involved trading-in my three year old Picanto. I found a 16 plate SZ4 AGS in black with 1,250 miles on the clock on AT from a Suzuki dealer in Bristol. List was £10.2k and it was on for £8k. Haggled VERY hard for a decent p/x on the Kia and was quite prepared to walk away. In the end the dealer gave me what I asked for but interestingly, on the receipt, he just gave me the standard p/x value for my car and knocked £1k off the price of the Celerio (so I got it for £7k).
I think you may be right in that there are less real bargain Celerios on AT now. It could be a Brexit thing but it could also be that people are waking up to just how good these funny little cars are. When I bought the first one, you rarely saw one on the road. Now you see them all over.
I didn't look at SZ2 cars as I like my a/c. It's probably true to say you won't get £3k off one of these because the new price is already very low. Around June of last year I did look at an ex-demo 65 plate SZ3 Dualjet with 3,000 on the clock for £6k. I walked away cos they wouldn't give me any discount!! One word of advice is be ready to pounce if you see something in AT that looks cheap. Obviously avoid the Cat C/D cars as you could be buying trouble. I'd also avoid some of the cheap high mileage cars too.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions ask away.

How do you even go about your haggling? Every time I do it the dealer has some **** reason why it isn't possible lol
be realistic with an offer you make them then get up and be ready to walk . Tell then you have been offered a better deal than they are giving you . Make sure they know you are ready to buy . But most of all stick to your guns and walk if you have to!

If you are looking for a slightly bigger model, the next one up in the Suzuki range is the Splash. Same as Vauxhall Agila. Great discounts on the Agila S model, just paid £6491 OTR (list price £10910) including a paint upgrade. Saving about 4.5K.

Worse mpg though

No doubt . Very well spotted. Definitely a deal breaker. WTF.

Jeez! not as if I insulted you.. get a grip

I neither put old or new pictures, I guess it must be forum moderator or someone with that sort of access.

Well I'm looking at the OP's picture at 21.00hrs and that is clearly the old SX4 and not misleading in the slightest for me ... or did OP update the Picture?

I thought the old design was quite funky and the new one is even better. Not sure if £10.5k is a great deal though so not voted either way.

OP updated picture.

They have always been £10,500 that what I paid for mine 6 years ago, this is an old design

Looks like a larger version of the Fiat Panda.

Fiat already make one of those, though as a stroke of genius they market it as the 500L, so people think it's cool..

The Suzuki Sx4 was actually a joint venture with Fiat, and is the same car (and virtually the same looking) as the fairly rare Fiat Sedici

Come on now, this is not very respectful, everyone knows the alto can do 60 mph (metres per hour)! ;-)

A car is only as safe as the driver.

You can't put a price on a life, but you can give it a prison sentence and a hefty insurance premium for years to come.

You obviously haven't been keeping up with modern technology.
You must be a really miserable person.

You don't make much sense.

Indeed! What a bizarre poster.

Lol - Ranked 121st on reliability index - way behind the Suzuki Alto (which is ranked 4th). I'd get rid of it quick and get something more reliable - Even a Fiat Multipla is Ranked higher than a 5 Series at #90! (and we all know how bad they are! oO )http://www.reliabilityindex.com/

£500 per year maintaining a good car, or lose £1000 per year on depreciation maintaining a new "cheap to run" city car. tough choice

You haven't a clue and are now just making up facts.

Says the guy that thinks it's necessary to have a Range Rover in the UK..

No all he is saying is his dad's Range Rover is less safe than a 7 year old French hatchback!

My dad has a Ford Focus, he is 63 and doesn't do the flash or fast cars anymore. I think you will have to take your trolling elsewhere.

Very nice car to drive, this was my first car, mind mine was a 1.4 aircon version, but still very cheap to run, I would definitely recommended this for in city use, if you don't have a large family, or even new drivers (to get a hang of things). Voted HOT.

Since when has the Alto had a 1.4 engine fitted?
It was a limited edition version they did with a custom paint job ;)

At least the Alto has electric windows, key operated central locking and 5 doors as opposed to the Peugeot 107 Access deal which has none of these. Although the SZ2 model which they were selling for 6666 did have remote central locking, but it looks like this model is no longer available. Wonder what else they left off the new SZ model to get the price down to 5995?

I love the fact petrol is so high, so people wrongly assume that by ditching their 2 litre mondeo for a little tin box will save them cash.

2nd hand prices are so strong in the dinky car sector, you're better off buying an alpha GTV 3.0v6, or a toyota supra, or even a porsche 928 for £5k, classic car insurance so probably no more than this, and the £1k you saved you can spend on petrol, and rubbers for all the women you'd pull. The only thing you'd pull in this car is your hamstring, by pushing on the accelerator too hard 'cos the damn thing hardly moves.
Haha you need a Porsche to pull, how small is your todger?

Very. What's your point?
I pull more women in small cars than I do in big ones because they think I'm level headed and sensible. The others I pull with my 3 wheeler. It's amazing how the knicker elastic loosens when you can make a woman laugh. If it takes a flash car to lure them in I'm not interested in them

I bought this car last month and i honestly can say it's been brilliant, especially if you live in London. It's congestion charge free and parking permits are too. It's a lovely drive too and for the price its perfect.
