Bought one of these a few years ago from aldi- think it was about £12 if I remember rightly, but it was well worth the money & is so easy to clean- comes up like new every time. Bargain at this price- heat.

Yes, would think so. Mines 32cm and medium sized turkey crown fits fine.

Bought one from Aldi at Christmas for £9.99. It's 37cm though.

These roasters (with lid) are great, though I would buy the bigger one (which I have), just my personal preference though. The Swan roasting tins from Argos wash and wear well too. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8615655.htm (not on offer but sometimes appear on ebay).

Maybe a stupid question but how are they self basting?

Does it purely mean that the lid keeps the flavour in?

Technically it wont baste per say but the lid will condense the evapourated liquid which will drip over the cooking meat much like how a tagine performs

Doesn't look big enough to fit a swan in oO

Apparently a telegraph pole killed then ate a swan

I can believe it killed it but to suggest it ate the swan

your having a giraffe :p:p

Just got one from Argos thanks, this site is costing me a small fortune!

I picked up mine this morning. When I took it out of the box, I thought "This is huge?". Turns out they gave me the 36cm one oO Bit annoyed, as it'll take up too much space :/

Would you have to change the cooking times for the chicken when using one of these?
