The Teasmade just got a 21st century makeover! Invest in this iconic product and you are joining a unique group of people going back some 70 years or more who just have to be woken with a nice, hot cup of tea in the morning.

And even if tea isn't your thing and you prefer a cup of that (new fangled) coffee in the morning, not to worry, this modern Teasmade can make that too! But you can't get the Internet on it just yet.

This latest model also benefits from a backlit LCD clock, sleek modern styling to suit any bedroom or living space, 4-cup capacity high quality ceramic pot, and of course the reading light, which no Teasmade would be complete without.

The concept is from another era - I have never met anyone that had time now (or then!) that had time to sit around in bed supping tea!

More like running around swigging coffee to get on with the day! (and I don't work!)

I've never had one but I remember someone telling me the problem with them is that if you set them up so you have a nice cup of hot tea when you wake up, the water has to start boiling before your alarm is due to go off. It boils the water slowly so for about half an hour before you're due to wake up you will hear the thing gurgling and simmering away! So by the time your alarm goes you're so wound up with the clatter that these things make, you'd rather throw it out the window than have a nice 'relaxing' cup of tea!!!!!!!!!

He took his down the charity shop after I said I didn't want it! :-D

lol yes thats exactly what happens!! My bedroom is my pride and joy and I spent a fortune decorating it, yet whenever my friends were round on a Friday and we were all getting ready to go out my teasmade was always the butt of their jokes :w00t: "oh look at ur pensioner tea maker" they would say !!!!!!!

teasmade are great! although im not so sure on the price, those things were always awesome and some of you are missing the point.

It makes coffee as well as tea so that argument falls apart and if you are seriously in a rush these things are fantastic whilst your getting ready the coffee is finished and you are on your way down the stairs with coffee in hand! much better than faffing about with the kettle in the kitchen.

As a person who would greatly benefit from the half an hour of gurgling to gradually wake me up, then a cup of tea before I finally have to become upright, I think this is a genius idea and it's definitely going on my list for Santa.

...just to let you know that i have one, and it takes about 3-4 minutes to boil just before the alarm goes off. the famous swoosh noise you hear about 30 seconds before it goes off!!!!! Helps me get up in the morning.......do you not know they are cool now?????!!!!!!????
