Good value but 650 tvl is pretty poor quality and at night you really are not going to be able to use the footage for much, ideally spend a bit more and get 1080p/HD quality so at least you can identify any nasty people should you ever need to!

The minimum you want is 720p nd even then that isn't great. 650tvl is very old stock.

Record resolution only 960h though so only HD if actually viewing at the time.

Cameras will all need upgrading too so not really worth it.

It will be CVBS, so it will only support 960h (960 x 576 pixel) cameras (the widescreen equivalent of D1 standard def), whether live viewing or recording.

Supporting a 1080p display means you should be able to view a 4 camera, 2 x 2 grid at their full 960h resolution.

To support HD cameras you'd either need to go with IP system , or a DVR that uses TVI, CVI or,AHD and compatible cameras.

I have the 1081hd setup and can't fault the system and remote access etc. Only tip is when mounting looking down the side of the wall covering the drive, move the camera outwards as the infra-red lights the wall and loses image on subject. But you can blank the recording of next doors area if you want.
