Swap F1 2010 for Fifa 11 (HMV) £35.00

£35.00 @ HMV
I know Asda had the F1 2010 + 97p = Fifa 11 offer advertised, but all Asda's in my area had sold out of Fifa. I went to HMV and the trade price for F1 2010 is a £35 HMV voucher, and Fifa 11 is £34.9…

I went to HMV and the trade price for F1 2010 is a £35 HMV voucher, and Fifa 11 is £34.99, so straight swap, in fact you get a 1p voucher card.
Asked why they didn't advertise it and basically they didn't want loads of F1 games left.

lol you cant **** off F1 2010 for having bugs and clitches when fifa is full of them
Plus in gameplay terms Fifa 11 is the worst for years.

if you can get fifa for £25/£30 then surely swapping it for a £35 card isnt a deal??

Tell me the last game that was released that didn't contain any bugs and glitches, publishers rule the developers with release dates meaning that they would prefer to release the game than face any penalties.
Anyway a patch is due shortly from Codemasters which should resolve most issues.

Don't like football, but it's a good deal if you want it - hot.

now why would you swap f1 2010 for fifa 11 when the only real difference between fifa 10 and 11 is the online ability to get create a few extras online .. So id go for fifa 10 !! got one for £6.50 on feeebay! hardly used and what bang for that is.

Fifa 10 was so last year.

i think its a good deal if youre after the game.
however, i dont like the gameplay in FIFA. It doesn't "feel" right, and each pass and shot feels almost scripted. its like a kids game. however, pro evo has an awful lack of atmosphere and the presentation is poor. If you could combine the gameplay of the new pro evo with the presentation and atmosphere from FIFA then you're onto a winner.

but i'm sure both games are better than my last two purchases: Mafia II and Dead Rising II. Both of them are crud.

not much has changed in FIFA, so you could argue that FIFA 11 is also "so last year" - just a couple of tweaks and some new packaging!

There's a sideline deal in that if you trade FIFA 2011 back in to HMV before the 14/10/10, they'll give you £30 credit

There's always a handful of people who've said that about every football game that's ever been released. Seriously, look back at threads when FIFA 10, 09, 08 were released... even PES. There's always a few people who say "the gameplay sucks, it used to be perfect."

Half the time it's just because it's changed. Some people hate change. Personally, I'm all for it. Just give the game a couple of weeks of play and you'll probably find it's better.

Better yet, spend your £35 on 23 copies of Fifa 09 from CeX.

Out of interest, when do you think EA will stop being able to screw people like this? Will there be a new Fifa every year until Fifa 2100? I hope I see the death of this franchise in my lifetime!

Cold
Fifa 11 is 39.99 in HMV so to trade in F1 it costs 4.99 for Fifa

you could say the same about PES, or any sports game, the fact of the matter is EA have lately actually been doing something to improve their games whereas seabass and co at konami have sat on their jacksies since the 'next' gen started. Why we're at it Call of Duty is pretty similiar oh so are the GTA's etc etc.

You've got more chance winning the lotto than seeing the end of these franchises by the way.

Not saying I dont understand what your getting at as I'd personally prefer update patches at about fifth of the price of a new game (updated rosters, commentary kits etc)

didnt i read something about a code for online play?? does this mean the kids will need a copy of the game each rather than just using each others??

Traded Mafia 2 in yesterday at HMV they gave me £35 instore credit quite good considering they only sell it for £36 pre-owned the cash alternative was only £20 , took it to gamestation first they offered me £18 store credit or £13 cash and they sell it pre-owned for £35 obviously a lot of folks traded it in for fifa but still they tried to take my eyes out

Yes mate, its a joke. A bad one.

The codes cost roughly a tenner each too so EA has really hit family gamers hard - imo the updates to Fifa 11 are also miniscule, so that for the first time in a few years im actually dissapointed with the game.
