i dunno, i don't think this is that bad - if your PS3 warranty has recently expired, and you want a new Slimline PS3, then £90 isn't a massive ammount, considering a new game on it's own could easily set you back £40.

£50 for a 40Gb HDD upgrade, a brand new warranty, and an energy consumption reduction doesn't seem shabby to me.

thank you

Best deal of it's type I've heard of. Gutted I had to buy a new 80gb ps3 4 months ago because my original 40gb ps3 died and sony told me tough.

at least Microsoft fixed my xbox 360 for free.

Probably have to buy another ps3 in 12 months anyway when this one fails.

still have my original megadrive, snes, xbox and ps2 still working fine.

I think your unlucky. I've still got my 60GB PS3 bought at launch and it's still going strong!

Personally i think the new PS3 looks horrible. Much prefer the nice shiny one!

I would have to agree, this is a good deal for new warranty, new game etc etc HOWEVER please could you explain how this is a £90 deal? It only says half price online unless theyre doing better deals instore than online?

good deal imo - if it exists ;-)

my local game in norwich was doing £125 for your ps3 to get the new one, so maybe just an odd branch that got it wrong here. anyway totally cold, as wouldnt want the new looking one dont like it, plus could get much more than that for an 80gb im sure.
#19
Plus the new one doesnt support other OS's like Linux so the old ones should retain their value!
#20
Do they offer a trade-in for the 40GB model?
I brought one last year & i'd prefer to upgrade for as little as possible.
As it's a newer model, it should be a better trade-in price

Gamestation were offering £160 trade in on 80gb ps3's instore today.
