I have one of these sweex routers, mine is the dsl model for us cable users.

Works really, well and I would say it performs just as well as my buffalo airstation router that was more than 2x the price.

I'm just after a USB WiFi dongle - anyone aware of a good deal?
#8
I have one of these at home and comapred to DLink or Netgear they are rock solid

my previous dlink and netgear required a reboot every few days, this one has been on for 3 months now and never skips a beat

get an excellent reception around the house so would recommend it

it is small and compact and looks very stylish
#9
just realised. i flashed mine with this firmware

http://alonline.eu/

although its the Dynamode wifi routerm firmwarw, its the same as the Sweex one, again only do this at your own risk.

i would guess that it wont be any good for the 360 as you cannot install the software required for the wireless adapter
#12

if your printer has built in wireless, yes, but you wont be able to use the usb adapter
#14
one thing to think about is it can only be used for cable connections and not connections from a phone line
#15
would this work with my current talk talk broadband?

Very quick delivery and works a treat!

From my personal experience, stay well clear of these, nothing but hassle. I have tried the cable version so I appreciate that it's not the same model, but unreliable Wfi connection and problems connecting the Cable version to Virgin Media (known compatibility issues which can be overcome but reliability suffers).

The Linksys, Belkin and Buffalo ones I've tried have all been fine.

I've not added hot or cold as I know people may disagee, but word of warning to anyone considering it.

You could be putting the router in bridged mode, downside to this is you still need another router. at the price of these it would still be a lot cheaper than the 360 dongle though, Having recently moved to a non cable area I used my old router for this very purpose.

So just to clarify, this is JUST the router, no built in ADSL modem? I have a USB ADSL modem (Speedtouch 330) guess this wireless router is no good for me?
