This was the best deal for me even without both cashbacks, so remember to check if its a good deal before

topcashback has already tracked at £40
and have to send off the £50 cashback via swinton within 30 days, payable after 90 days

my policy was £78 before any of the above

Receive an Extra £50 Cashback from Swinton!

Use promotional code HOSWAF689 on the Swinton website to receive an extra £50 cashback from Swinton.

Please note, this extra £50 is paid as a refund and is separate from the £40 cashback offered via Top CashBack.

You send it within 30 days of taking out the policy, and they pay you the cashback after you have policy for 90+days.

sorry should have been after 90 days,

they are two seperate offers, you go through tcb which tracks at £40 and then you enter code above in the swinton website when you get your quote, and swinton themselves then give you £50 cashback after 90 days (you need to claim this, it says they will send you an email with claim form in a few days and you need to fill in and return within 30 days)

as i said it was the chapest deal for me even without any of the cashback, so it was well worth it, but tcb has tracked at £40

You should also prepare for endless phone calls from them afterwards

They plagued me for months afer filling out an enquiry on an insurance quote

Personally (and that is just my opinion) would not use them but then again cash is cash

ordered yesterday and just received the email to print off the claim form, as i said it was the best deal for me for home contents without any cashback, used a compare site before buying, if you do this remember to chuck in another email address and clear cookies before using topcashback
for me this was an excellant deal, doesnt mean it will be for everyone, just wanted to put it out there for you all x

Are you sure that the refund is additional to cashback as it says this in there t&c;

"This offer is not available to be used with any other Swinton home insurance offers. "

Surely cashback through quidco topcashback etc would be classes as a home incurance offer?
#7
Nah, quidco's entirely separate. They pay the cashback site for referring you. They don't pay you via the cashback site. That the cashback site chooses to share some of the kickback is the cashback site's business. They can't deny a referer their comission because you used a publicly available discount code.

I just got a quote and it was 3x what the cheapest insurer quoted me a few months ago, but if Swinton are cheap for you, this is a good deal.

Littlewoods and their sister companies always refuse my cashback when using a voucher code though and I know its the same for a lot of other people

as above "Please note, this extra £50 is paid as a refund and is separate from the £40 cashback offered via Top CashBack."

i cannot see tcb advertising anything that would inalidate either cashback, it has always said in the details if using codes invalidates it

this is for tcb not quidco, quidco are only offering £30, the code for the extra £50 is on tcb page, and tcb offering more than quidco

no, your not being dim, as cahback deals only are not allowed millercat has changed the link to swinton direct, my link was to www.topcashback.co.uk

you need to ignore the link above and use the topcashback site if you want £40 cashback then in swinton quote you add the code

#18
not a prob found a nother site willing to do the same deal and cheaper
#19
thanks
#20
I just renewed my home insurance this morning, and this would have made it £15 cheaper :/

And I looked at my car insurance, but it seems esure is cheaper, even with the additional cashback.

Still, heat added
#21
Good stuff Sassie, will take a look.
#22
Policy must start within the next 3 days.

Do you know what makes yours cheaper Sassie? Mine may be a bit more as we live very near to the sea/river? Got 5 years no claims.

Also what have you done about contents? Have you gone with them again for 2 x £50 cashback or have you gone with another provider?

Thanks for the deal, perfect timing!

£47.19 for the year for buildings insurance as long as tcb and swinton pay.
#23
i went throught quidco a few months ago, they paid out twice £45 x 2 and then i claimed £30 with swinton meaning my home and contents was around £20 for the year................nice (voice of borat)
#24
Also worth saying that I used uswitch, comparethemarket. Both of which were completely useless.

Used moneysupermarket which was brilliant. Still too many stupid questions to answer but the prices that came back were far better whereas the companies that gave the good prices were apparently either not on the first two comparison sites or weren't able to quote for some unknown reason.

Anyone had the form to claim the cashback yet? Ordered a few days ago and was expecting to have received the e-mail by now.

Anyone receive the form yet?

They phoned me but didn't seem to know why they were phoning me so while they were on the phone I asked them about the form and they said I'm supposed to e-mail cashback @ swinton.co.uk to ask for my cashback form.
