It's an extremely well built controller. We're talking easily on par with the standard Xbox One pad (circa £45-50 depending where you buy) which was a great evolution of the 360 pad, still regarded as one of the greatest controllers of all time

Where are you buying standard Xbox One controllers for £50?

Good deal compared to other retailers so voted hot but overpriced for what it is.

Much better than the original joy cons though

Yeah exactly, it's a must buy if you use the switch docked a lot.

Well, it's Nintendo so the price will always be high. This may be as good as it gets. Voted hot!

My favourite controller of all time, well worth the price. The comfort is unreal.

To be fair its a fantastic price. At this price its a basic £10 extra for Nintendo tax. I can live with that

I havent, but thats the price quoted for them on Game, and higher for the fancier looking ones, not that you wouldnt shop around :) just comparing the price as a whole

The £51.90 price is sold by a third party seller, Amazon is selling for £52.08 and with the STUDENT10 code you can get for £42.08
#12
Can you use an Xbox or ps4 pad with the switch? Or is this your only option?

There are some 3rd party retro SNES and NES pads that will work with the switch via Bluetooth

Yes you can but you need a dongle to do it. Search YouTube for Filip he did a video on it a week or so ago.

It's not worth £50, but it's flipping good controller. Battery life puts my dual shock to shame.

Perfect mate. I used the student10 code on Mario kart and my friend let me use his account to get this for £42.08.

Mario Kart 8 Delexue and Pro controller for £74 isn't bad.

Seriously man...
This is the age we live in.
Brand new wireless Xbox controllers are similar.
Plus this one has motion control

Waiting forever for joycon stock, this might be a better option

I'd go with one of these over a joy-con for using the Switch docked

Xbox One controller ain't that great. Elite is better and should be a standard by now. £45-50 for a standard average Xbox pad... Well, the switch better be better than that for £52. Xbox pad's you should be looking around the £30 mark hotukdeal hunter :)
#23
how do you get the student10 promo code to work?
#24
Best controller ever, it feels great in the hand. So much better than the cheap and flimsy Wii U pro controller.

Battery life is excellent too and HD rumble is great.

Price may seem a bit steep but once you receive it you will be glad you got it. Think £52 is about right.

Gotta buy the one sold by amazon.
#26
If you have amazon prime now in your area you can get it delivered today. Plus you can use the 10for40 to get £10 off the price. If you have already used it then just create a new account. Happy Buying :)

It should have a headphone jack, triggers and a decent d-pad. But heat on the deal.
#28
Apart from the lack of a headphone socket, a lovely Controller, and now at Amore reasonable price. Hot.

Ordered - thank you O.P. :D

Stone cold. The RRP is so inflated that even with this discount it's still hugely overpriced.
#31
best price ive seen for the massively overinflated controller..

bought one, cheers OP

It's because of morons that buy crap like this for 50 quid the reason that Craptendo still exists.
#33
Expensive but worth it. Not cheap enough to put player 2 out of joy con misery though :)

I thought before getting my Switch that Pro controller was a must buy so I got it day one. In the end it actually ended up collecting dust and I just used joycons exclusively even though I was sure i'd hate them.. turns out they're great!
Same goes for using the Switch in handheld mode, thought I'd never do it, turns out I almost never docked it (until Arms came out that is) the freedom of playing handheld mode is really amazing
#35
I think £42 is very reasonable, not sure why people are complaining. :P

I understand your opinion, however the switch controller is the only controller that does come with a charging cable, a non proprietary USB C at that, that can be used for any other device. It still doesn't fully justify the price but the cable can cost £7 alone.

If your Dog was able to establish an income, bank account and sign up with Amazon it must have a pretty high IQ and you're just jealous.
