I'm a 34 year old and I still treat myself to one of these every now and then. The rechargeable batteries don't seem to last that long but there're a bit of fun.

Fussy? It was praise.

Seen a few cheap helicopters around lately, all being 2 Channel.

3 Channels is alot better.

Can anyone recommend a cheap-ish r/c heli that has a decent flying time, ie. beyond 5-10mins?

Thanks :)

Look at the Hubsan ones. They are pretty good and you can get spare batteries cheap enough, especially if you don't mind waiting for delivery from China. I buy from Banggood or DXextreme.
Alway buy the propeller protector.

S107G much better for a few quid more.

Would also recommend the hubsan quadcopter, so much easier to fly and get parts for. Can get spare batteries for about 3 or 4 pound. Cheapest is about £25 from ebuyer.
