Why purcase this when it can be down loaded for FREE from GOOGLE.

I wouldn't recommend copyright theft. I would recommend poking yourself in the eye before considering installing any Norton product though. It's much better for you in the long run.

As well as bogging down your system, Symantec antivirus actually attracts viruses to your system...

norton was good years ago before symantec

i use avg free and its always done ok for me and my pc

norton is a pain to uninstall, avg is the better option:thumbsup:

echo the shout for AVG, and the general derision for Norton. Kills the speed of your pc. I wouldn't install it if you gave me it for free.
#7
Tried Norton - slow and cumbersome, and Mcafee - problems with integration with Outlook. At the end of the day I keep coming back to AVG. Its free and simple and does the job.
#8
A bit pricey for a version that's over 2 years out of date.

Also - welcome to HUKD bm73 - unfortunately not a well received first post!

A lesson to learn is that posting a deal on any Norton products on this site is met with uproar and everyone posts which free alternative they use!

I'll add to the alternatives ha ha...

If you want a complete internet security suite I recommend CA Internet Security 2007. It takes up little space on your computer, updates for 12 months (including free product updates too), and is very reliable.

Norton killed my last pc. Thought it was a bargain at £25 from Stable, installed it and and no ends of problem, then decided to uninstall it, pc crashed. If you go to their wesite, they actually have a download for people who have prolems uninstalling the software!!!!!!!
In the end I bought a new pc as it was an old pc and didn't want to pay £60 for putting it right.
