even at last year prices tho 170 is a lot, coming up as 180 + a tenner trans charge so 190! and then probably postage, seems to be a rip, reading tickets were 95 when i first went abuot 5 years ago :(

T was much less 5 years ago as well, and its a 3 day festival now. Damn fime day or 3 out!!!

You can usually get a good festival on the continent with rail travel for the price of a UK one. Some mates did a 4 day one in Belgium a few years ago, cost less than Leeds that year and had much cheaper/better beer.

I don't quite get how these early bird tickets inflate prices though. If people wouldn't pay that on ebay, they wouldn't sell. Because they do, it means the entertainment is worth (to some people) the cost involved. If the main tickets didn't sell out, the guys on ebay couldn't sell theirs, so its consumer demand keeping the prices high. When tickets don't sell out the touts will take a beating, until that point you have to pay what the market dictates.

For the record I think touts are the scum of the earth, robbing poorer fans of the chance to go by buying up loads of tickets to sell at a hugely inflated price, but thats not really relevant. People wanting keeps the price high.

Aren't we all going to be dead from swine flu by the end of the year? Spend your £170 now....while you still can.
