Hello guys and girls, This is my first post, i know its simlar to a deal posted by james_lfc so the credit should go to him :) for me this deal is better.

I have just come off the phone with T-Mobile, i am a new customer, they offered me:
Free T-mobile G2 (HTC Hero)
800mins
500 Texts
Unltd Internet - with a fair use policy of 3GB (but you don't get charged if you go over)
1 months free insurance (canceling after the first month )
Free 2GB micro SD card
All for: £22.50p/m

I then told them 'my contract does not end until next month' so they offered me the first months line rental free of change.

This brings the overall cost to £382.5 (£21.25p/m)

I took them up on the deal ;)

x

My friend just got the deal too.

Looking good - looks like I'm going to have to make a few calls when my contract is up with O2 because sales departments seem to be willing to negotiate a lot more than they have done in the past :-D
#5
My contract ends in december, but looks like am moving to o2 after 5 years wiwth tmobile, most irritating is that am still been charged to access voicemail..... If am offer a similar deal as an upgrade, i might consider it if only free voicemail is thrown in..

You can get hold programs/apps that will record your voicemail (on the phone itself) and play them back to you for free ;) Obviously if you have no signal or the phone is switched off they are useless.

Not sure, didn't ask. sorry.

anyone else confirm - could be an awesome deal

T-mobile locked, but easy to be unlocked by code, about 8 quid on eBay (USA). I did myself.
#14
This is a hit and miss deal...some will be lucky and some will not not really a hard and fast deal but more of a pot luck....

My friend got refused the first time, think the secret is to keep ringing up and speaking with different members of staff, you will get the deal eventually :)

I hate these kind of things being classed as 'deals'. It's pot luck who you speak to, what you say etc. You can't just call them and get this deal. Things like this should be posted in misc in my opinion since it's more of a heads up than a deal.

Voted cold from me, especially since no-one else has confirmed they got it at that price, but a few have been refused.

Instead of phoning your voicemail number call your own number to obtain inclusive voicemail, comes out your minutes rather than being chargeable.

How can this NOT be a deal? Its £35 a month on their website for christ sake... so getting it for £25 or less is a bargain.

I have read lots of people getting this deal on here and on MSE. Anyone can get it if they just keep calling until they speak to the right people.

If this hadn't been posted here, I and a lot of others might not have known about it.

Your cold vote is well out of order IMHO

Uh, I voted cold because it's not a deal, it's a heads up. You can't just call up T-Mobile or go into T-Mobile store and say 'I want this deal' and get it. It's pot luck on who you speak to, and whether they are willing to do the deal for you or not.

I didn't say this shouldn't be posted here either, if you read my post I actually said that it should have been posted in 'misc' as a heads up, because it's always good to know of potential offers available. But a potential offer is not a deal, and shouldn't be classed as one.

The only person posting they got this deal on here is the original poster and their friend, the only other person who's posted in regards to trying to get this deal was told no by the person on the phone.

It's not a deal, it's a heads up. There's a big difference. I could most a million 'haggling' deals I've had in the past from thousands of pounds off furniture, to half price phone contracts, but it's luck whether you get the same, not a deal.

cold from me as there phone lines aint even open now so cant check whether its legit!
#22
VERRRRY tempting... let us know how you lot get on ;)
#23
That's an amazing deal if you can get it...

I've been offered a renewal of £10pm for Flex 25 + £7.5 internet. crap deal. I'd love this

You're joking right?!?! :?

Great phone but be aware the bluetooth functionality is minamal at best the now. No data transfer between two phones and works fully with a limited range of incar bluetooth kits.

Could say the same thing about every deal on here that is "instore only" as its pot luck if your local store has it or not....

Is this phone better then the N97 Nokia phone..or better then the Iphone

G2 review...good one:))

Removed this - As it's pretty much for business/self employed now.

If you are a business owner or self employed, I will pass on contact details, if not I can't sorry :(

Try this tomorrow.

Dammit! I got a deal through a mobile deal company for the same phone, 200mins, Unlimited txts and with Orange but no internet for £25 about 2 months ago. After cashback it worked out at £22. I wish I'd tried to ring up the providers directly and bargain with them. :-(
#31
Liked the explanation from 'OneGuysLife' and would vote hot if it was generally available, rather than having to faff about phoning and phoning trying to get lucky with finding the right person on the phone at tmob.

Interested in whether anyone can beat this, as the chance that 1 person's negotiation got the best is surely minimal.

Also, this bit 'I then told them 'my contract does not end until next month' so they offered me the first months line rental free of change. This brings the overall cost to £382.5 (£21.25p/m)'

is again speculative, and relies on them matching this same offer, otherwise I guess it's dearer each month. I'm dubious about posting a personalised quote as a deal though ;)

dont know if it works 4 all networks but if you phone your own number on t-mobile instead of the voice mail number it's free... and your straight into your voice mail....works 4 me

I'm due an upgrade with T-mobile on the 27th Oct. I pay £32 on Flext 35 (18 months) with evening and weekends FREE and £4 OFF as loyal customer, ohh! nearly slipped my mind, the handset was N95

I shall use my whole life of experience dealing with retention, loyal and brand loyal departments/operators. My call will be made first thing on the morning of Tuesday, commencing this week.

I like the sound of this fantastic package, I still want the free evening & weekends calls.
#34
I voted cold because it's not a guaranteed deal, some may get it, some won't.
#36
I will wait until T-Mobile do the iPhone, it WILL happen.
#37
I didn't use negotiation, I didn't push for anything! They where offering £10 off p/m and a further 10% on top of that as part of a promotion.

Both me and my friend ordered the exact same deal, in addition here is a similar deal: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/511063/t-mobile-g2-htc-hero-800mins-unltd- (i got offered this too but didn't need unlimited texts)

How can people say this is not a deal? If i got the contract for this price it means other people can, therefore its a deal, yes?

Thanks
Dan

The Diamond is a better phone, there are more apps available for it. Android is still fairly new and not many compatible apps to install.

Very hot from me. £380 quid for a great phone and 18 months of usage is a bargain - I can't believe people are voting cold because they might have to make more than one call to get this deal.

HTC Hero is the first Android phone that's really made the most of the software even if the hardware is slightly underpowered.

considering orange and t-mobile is merging I am sure they will get this, but why the iphone out of curiosity?

Might call up t-mobile and see what they offer me, like everyone says its a bit hit and miss and not really a deal, but rather than moaning i am gonna thanks to the op. Now ppl are aware you may get this deal if ure lucky, its down to the person if they want to bother calling them.
