Just text INT from your PAYG mobile to 441 to opt in (this is a free text to 441).

Many countries with 5P per minute (India, China, US, Australia etc.,).

Other Link is (thanks Ghost101) -

glad with the response. Just 10 minutes and it is already 30 Degrees hot. My first ever post to have got this hot :-)

Would be interesting to see how hot or cold it can go.

Can't remember which one right now but some other provider had already kick-started something similar several months ago. Bet the others are following suit soon (now where's the emoticon for crossed fingers!?) (_;)

yes very true. I think it was Lyca that slashed international call prices. But being with T mobile for a long time (dont ask me why I am still with it... I dont know the answer clearly myself (_;) specially considering that there are many other cheap PAYG sims), and then finding a deal like this make me feel good about T mobile :3

In fact there was a much better offering by o2, International Friends and Family, whereby you pay £5 for the bolt-on which allowed unlimited calls to a specific number (initially it could be a mobile or landline), later it changed to landline only and now, not available.

It was run for a trial period, waiting in hope, it may resurface, probably with further restrictions or condition but will have to wait.

It appears O2 have launched this fully in Germany, but here it was only a beta version

O2 pay&go offers 7p to landlines all acros Europe and 15p to mobiles for one off £5. A lot better, and better coverage too.
#8

#10
what about for pay monthly customers. i could not find any info about similar plans in their website.

I may be missing something with tmobile but it appears that to phone a landline in the UK on payg it costs 25p per minute but with this free booster I can phone people in India for 5p per minute ..... seems a bit bonkers to me.

What about us contract customers? Maybe T-mobile want us to cancel our contracts and go on payg?
#21
i am with 02 payg, but i am going to usa in oct, could i get a free sim card and opt in for this now?
#22
there definitely seems to be some mistake here as international calls are marked cheaper than local calls.
Can somebody confirm these 5p rates ?

Theres no mistake, infact on some tariffs a few years ago, you could call USA cheaper then it would cost to call your neighbour.

In what way is 7/15p a minute to Europe after you have given them £5 better than 5p/12p a minute with no upfront cost to most of Europe and other countries including Australia, USA and parts of Asia?
#25
This is a good deal if you make occasional calls and want to keep things simple.

For people who make a lot of international calls there are cheaper alternatives available. For example, I have a UK landline number from LocalPhone.com which redirects to an Indian number at 1p/min. My mobile plan gives me unlimited landline calls, so I can call as much as I like for 1p/min.

There are some override providers (the 0844 type ones) advertising 0.5p/min, but it seems almost impossible to get a connection on these numbers, and calling non-geographic numbers from a mobile may not work out very cheap.
#26
I used t mobile pay as you go sim to call india for 3p per min. I haven't tried for any other country.
I used 290366 and then destination number. Hope this will help some people.
#27
God I wish I'd never signed up with tmobile. Try getting 2.1 update! dozen phone calls and hours wasted-still on 1.5
#28
What about contract? How to get that prices?
#29
O2 has a very unique service calling Internatiional Favourites. It gives your 50 hours of calling / month for 10 quid. Thats 0.3p / min.

Plus you get the Call Me number service. nobody else offers this at all. Its a local number from another country for your mobile. really nice . I have a new york number. o2.co.uk/if is the link.
