T-Mobile PAYG Mobile Broadband USB stick is available at Argos online and instore for £9.99 (out of stock online, but South London stores have a few instock). It was originally listed as £19.99 in the catalogue. You also aren't forced to buy a topup like you do with most other cheap PAYG phones and dongles.

If you want to use this a lot then this isn't that great a deal, but if like me you only want to use it once or twice a month this is perfect. You can topup and pay just £2 per day for unlimited usage, and your credit will only expire after 6 months of no usage. They also do £5 for a week and £15 for a month, but you can probably find better deals elsewhere if you want to use it that much. To the naysayers saying this isn't a good deal, please reread this paragraph and understand my use case.

The device itself is a Huawei E173, most of the Huawei devices are easily unlockable so I expect this is too. If anyone has any links to guides it would be appreciated. It takes a standard SIM card, but you will want to get a data SIM otherwise you'll most likely be charged extortionate prices.

Can this be used with a T-mobile sim with free internet? otherwise it's a rubbish deal

Tempting

Not sure if this is a good deal, a £10 topup will last 5 days?

T-Mobile has massive traffic and is completely oversold. I got capped within 10 minutes so getting 2mb/s speeds straight down to 12kb/s with constant disconnects.

Watch out but worth it for the occasional use.

Basically it's automatically added in the shop and you can't buy it without the credit. Tried it earlier

Why is it a rubbish deal ? So long as you don't want to do lots of downloading then it's non-stop internet access for a laptop during the period you pay for, unlike O2 who stop you when you reach their limit.

£2 a day is a rip off, A 12 Month Internet sim was £15 exc £5 quidco amounts to 12 x 0.5GB a lot cheaper and you get £10 for calls

Yep, but unless you have a data plan you will probably get charged extortionate amounts.

They also do £7 for 5 days and £15 for a month, which isn't too bad but I expect you can find it better elsewhere. This deal is more aimed at casual users like me who only need to use it once or twice a month at most when on the move.

No you don't, or at least they didn't make me in Argos. If you don't believe me I'll post the receipt :)

As I said in reply to Bully, if you are only a casual user this is ideal.
