A. CPU is ARMv6 (that means forget about ADOBE flash support) Qualcomm MSM7225 running @ 528 MHz. With custom kerner/ROM it is overclockable to ~700 MHz, providing marginal speed boost though
B. GPU is null (that means forget games). Words with Friends, Draw Something are not listed in Google Play market as incompatible. Angry Birds is listed but almost unplayable.
C. A+B combined result to BBC i-player not listed, Sky Go, Netflix listed but jerky playback, unwatchable. Navigon Europe worked.
D. It has got 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM, from which around 150 MB are user available. A 2GB MicroSD card is bundled.
E. It is running Android Froyo 2.2.2. There is support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/N, WiFi HotSpot (Internet Sharing) out of the box and App2SD
F. It is ridiculously easily rooted with SuperOneClick v2.3.3. Flashing ClockWorkMode Recovery (unlocking bootloader) is as easy as an app installation (ROM Manager)
G. It is NOT officially upgradable to Gingerbread. But there are custom ROMs (2-3) based on CyanogenMod 7 stable builds bringing Android Gingerbread 2.3.7 onboard. Smoothness is substantially boosted, configuration options as well, at the expense of stability (expect the odd Force Close / Reboot)
There are a couple of Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 ROMs based on port of CM9, but are highly unstable, not supporting every hardware element. It is very possible we won't see a stable port ever of ICS, and as such Jelly Bean 4.1 is not an option too (though we may see the same Alpha ports of JB as with ICS)
H. Battery life is hardly 24hrs or a working day (07.00-18.00) for a safe 80%->20%. I've not tested how long it lasts used a WiFi HotSpot, but I'd say close to 3 hrs.
I. It canNOT be SIM-unlocked for free. Cheaper unlock codes on Ebay for a 5er.
J. All in all, if u want a phone for primary usage, avoid it. It will drive you crazy with sluginess. For a WiFi hotspot it's (hot)spot on.

Going to use one as a hotspot as the kids 3DS consoles won't accept the iPads ad-hoc WiFi sharing. So I'm pulling the iPad sim out and sticking it in this instead.
I wonder how long the battery would last on this just being used a Wi-Fi hotspot, with the screen off...? Also, could you link me to those SIMs on eBay please? My laziness prevents me from finding them :p.

He's now added £1.25 P&P (used to be free)
