When it was 7.50 it was a real bargain but still good deal
#2
Already been posted...
#3
Like saayinla said, it's been knocking around for months.
#4
Ulimited internet? How much is unlimited (in t-mobiles dictionary)
#5
Also, does not inc. free VM in yr mins/allowance or MMS I believe..................
#6
no1john: 1GB if you have an usual phone 3 GB if you have an Android but you will need to phone them for the 3GB
#7
Hi, are you an existing customer or a new customer please
#8
T Mobile = worst reception ever, I stay away at all times but nice deal if you can get signal
#9
also I would check the T&C because last time when I phoned them they gave me a £5 discount for 3 months but the guy forgot to mention that if I dont stay with them for 6 months I will be billed the 3x5 pounds. When I phoned them to cancel my contract (30 days notice) they cancelled it right away, I ended up with extra charge for the minutes&txt because my allowance was cut down and I saw the bill after a week when I already changed networks. I wrote them a complain letter which was never answered...

im a new customer.. darn this was going for 7.50
missed out big time.. i still think 10 a month is a bargain compared to whats out there..
just hope i get good reception in my home!!!
#11
tesco sim only offer is better, and rolling 30 day contract.
#12
T-Mobile & Orange have merged their operations including sharing each others networks to increase there coverage. Hope this helps people if your in a dodgy reception area.
#13
I am not having a good time with tesco mobile. I keep on loosing data connection and am promted every time I reconnect. It is very annoying to say the least.

I had no problem when I was t-mobile and the voice calls will be better now because the linked network with orange (you need to sign up online). T-mobile's credit check is ridiculous, though. They wanted a £100 deposit from me that they said that they would give me back in 3 months despite me being employed and having good credit. I can get credit cards but not a £7.50 12month contract aparently?!. Some forums say that they give you the deposit back as credit on your contract instead of cash so watch out for that.

Where does it say anything about getting money for a referral?

Yeah - is this a one sided only deal, so that the poster only gets something?

I strongly believe that posts here cannot be for the financial/otherwise gain of members, if I recall the Terms and Conditions correctly, and I am mentally disabled, so would advise the poster to check this.

Spamming: This includes empty messages, hidden text that matches the background colour, quotes with no new content, repetitive questions, meaningless content, pornography, pornographic images, sexually offensive material, self promotion of a business, auction sites, personal sales on other sites, links to personal websites, requests for referrals, referral links, third party affiliate links, and advertising for personal gain. These activities are considered spam and will result in an account being suspended or terminated.

3GB internet on this one
#18
Referral request removed.

I thought 3gb was just for android, and had to be setup on the account?

Also : what is the contract period with this deal, is it 30days, 1 year etc, the poster didn't state this, and it does impact on how good of a deal it is etc. Another point:check that you can't get cashback from Quidco etc, or if this is a phone only deal.
#20
Good deal if it's a 30 day contract.

if it's not, Go here:

My knowledge of these things isn't great, so if someone can answer 3 questions for me please.....

- how long is the contract, is it 12 months?
- Can I use this with an iphone 3gs?
- If this can work with the iphone, can i get it to work with an iphone from a different network i.e orange iphone?
cheers

The data is 3G I think fella - I have it in my daughters Iphone and she is downloading on 3G and the data counter on the billing page tallies roughly with what she is using? Speeds seem good too?

Had several bad experiences with this company. Really would advise people to stay away and either go for giff gaff or tesco mobile instead. Or even that virgin mobile deal that was knocking around...

Had to vote cold considering the company.

Rob Alderman signed up online to a phone package with Tesco Mobile which included unlimited internet. But Rob hadn't spotted that to Tesco, 'unlimited internet' actually meant 500 Megabytes a month. 500 Megabytes would probably be plenty if you browsed the internet, checked your Facebook, downloaded emails and watched the odd Youtube video. But Rob was a heavy internet user and among other things, he used his phone to watch internet TV. This quickly took him over Tesco's limit.

When Rob exceeded the threshold by 100 Megabytes, Tesco Mobile suspended his service, and asked him to call. When he did, they told him he'd run up a bill of £411. A sum of money Rob neither expected nor could afford.

"I didn't have 400 pounds to give to Tesco Mobile at the time. And I never expected to pay that kind of amount on a phone bill in my life."

I'll stick to T-Mobile's 3Gb internet allowance thanks!

Few things to mention, might be helpful for peeps around here:

1. T-mobile has generally poor reception but t-mobile and orange has started to share the signals, so if t-mobile signal in some area is low, you might have to explicitly set your phone to use orange signals. If the phone is set to automatically choose the mobile signal provider,It switches from t-mobile signal to orange signal only in the "absence" of t-mobile signal, doesnt automatically switch to a strong orange signal in the presence of a weak t-mobile signal. At least, this is the case with my orange san francisco.

2. There is a 12p per voice mail retrieval charge on this tariff , though I use hullomail to avoid these charges ;)
3. I got 3 GB allowance with this deal (for £7.50) and the allowance didn't depend on the OS of the phone. Best thing would be to check with the sales person on the phone line.

Now that t-mobile and orange users can access each others networks (on request) I have some interesting figures that really don't back this up.

I have a T-Mobile contract and they insisted "unimited" but when pushed they said they wouldnt hassle me unless I regularly went over 3GB which is a massive amount on a phone. I probably dont get through that on my home broadband.
#37
Until T-Mobile and Orange merge their 3g network, T-Mobile are hopeless here.
And for me, Tesco are only a little better. They use O2's network. I am just leaving O2 after 7 years as their 3g signal across most of the area I drive about/work in is patchy at best.

Shame really.

Hmm, I am with T-Mobile and went through the getting the PAC and speaking to retentions only yesterday - Now retentions told me this deal was finished, and that I could NOT have it - gonna phone this number in a minute when the lines open at 8 before I complete my move to Tesco Mobile (haven't given them the PAC yet....)

OK, so they told me that this offer is for new customers OR existing customers who want a second line and a second phone number, not an upgrade offer - oh well, off to Tesco I go with rolling 30 day contracts and then await another offer coming back round.

The other thing to note is that the TMobile if you go over 3GB they just throttle your connection - so things go slower but no surprise extra charges !
